The best unreleased tracks, R W years 1975-1983

There´s a lot of available outtakes from these years - I don´t think I´ve heard all...many are unfinished or even jams.

But, which are the best unreleased songs (not alternates)? Studio recordings.

Here are my favourites at the moment (not including Keith solo):

Cellophane Trousers (early Too Tough?)
Claudine (long and short versions!)
Everlasting Is My Love
Fiji Jim
I Need You
My First Plea
Let´s Go Steady Again
Jah Is Not Dead
We Had It All

A Different Kind, Do You Think I Really Care and Tallahassee Lassie should be on the list, IMO; and also the instrumental version of Still In Love.....from "Goin Mad & Wild" bootleg

Hard call, because I believe that most of the best unreleased music of this period is what was edited out from songs that were then released!

I'm thinking of the extended versions of Miss You, Respectable, Burden, Whip, and all the fantastic Emotional Rescue numbers.

As I noted some time ago, could you imagine if the Some Girls LP had only 4 extended unedited tracks (like some of Miles' albums of the 70's)?

I think We Had it All would be my favorite from that time period...

The ones I listed are the only ones I have or have heard with exception to some of the Dirty Work outtakes. So I have very little to draw on. Regardless, those SG leftovers are fantastic and I wished they'd finished those instead of doing a cover or some of that other silly shit (Send It To Me) or boring shit (Respectable).

IMO the RW years have tons of great outtakes. More than the Taylor years. The Exile sessions have very few l;eftovers.

The Keith "Love is Strong" version - agreed; so much better. Way ,more swing to it. Although the finaL Jagger version is one of their best late day trax.

Yes that wonderful punk-reggae-funk-garage period. After that, very few things sound fresh on last albums

Best cover is We Had It All

Best original is Living In The Heart Of Love

Is the latter really a forerunner to Luxury as Keno's site claims?

I think so. Don't you hear the line "Been working so hard" repeated over and over again?

I like the song very much, although the sound isn't good. It would be great to hear it in better quality.

Living In The Heart Of Love is a nice outtake!

However, it belongs to 1973/74 and the M T years 1969-1974.
