Blondie had a green light. The other guy ran a red light and Blondie got hurt. His shoulder's still in a bad state, a couple of weeks after the accident.
For a guitarist, arms, shoulders, elbows and fingers are crucial - so GET WELL SOON, Blondie.

Any more details on the severity of Blondie's injuries?

I've not posted it before, but I've known it for a while. He's much better now, but his shoulder hurts a lot. He did get badly bruised, but is making great progress.

Ask your parents if they remember his first band, The Flame! The young men left South Africa at 15 or 16, and two of them joined The Beach Boys, on Dennis' invitation.
If you google a photo of The Flame and show to your "old folks", they'll remember, for sure! My mum remembered them very well.

Nope You don't know my parents, they didn't know who Led Zep are, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin etc before I told them. They had a vague idea that the Stones existed, about all they knew was the tongue logo. lol

Ah, BluzDude - are you the one he spoke with at Herr Nilsen? And signed that album for you?
Anyway - Blondie's very grateful to everyone and expects to recover in due time to be able to go to Switzerland for a show soon.

Actually it was one of my best buds (Bob).
He was in Charge of Park and Recreation for the city of Ojai, CA back in the 1980's. He put together some sessions back in the day that featured Blondie, Butterfield and Danko.
Way back before Blondie joined the Beach Boys, Flame opened for the Beach Boys and Bob, after the show, ran right out and bought the album. When he joined the Beach Boys, Bob was on top of the World, Anyway when Bob ran into Blondie in Ojai back in the '80's, he told Blondie he was a fan and gave him the LP cover to sign. Blondie's comment was "So you're the person who bought our record".

Ouch! Hope that shoulder gets better soon, Blondie. And that you'll come and give us a show or three in England one of these fine days.
