Keith probably does not mean that he and Mick were actually together. It is more like that is what they would have said to each other if they actually had been together working on EOMS remaster. But good news because it has to start somewhere.

Finally some good news about that!!

Why is it that every time there is talk of a new Stones album....Exile is always mentioned? Regardless of how it fits in to the subject...they always seem to mention it. It's like they know that any talk of Exile makes us salivate like a Pavlov Dog.


I would love it if JW ptroduced their new one! We'd get some nasty guitar again. Maybe he could play lead guitar!

Well, it also sounds like there might be some Keith with Jack solo songs in the works

I dont think Mick or Keith could take instruction from Jack White on a stones album. The first night of the beacon Jack looked like he was going to shit himself when Keith glared at him - maybe they're getting along better these days!

This is an important thread. It is the first bona fide glimmer of what will likely get the stones rolling again. this time next year we will have a new record and be figuuring out which shows we can hit, and probably just finding out about the set list after maybe the surprise club show. And this next one may indeed be the last time.

A day after.

Time to rethink.

Let's look closely what is written there:

If Keith Richards has his way, the Rolling Stones will start working on a new record next year. “I’m trying to gather the boys together,” he tells Rolling Stone. “One way or another, I’ll get them back in line.”

There is to too many possible scenarios, and the whole thing starts with "if". Nothing is seemingly confirmed or decided yet - it is just Keith's wishful thinking, and that's all. Of course, he has authority in these matters, but I don't think he has the actual authority over the person who finally decides these kind of dealings. If this would be Mick speaking I would not be so skeptical. Over-all, I think it will be Mick who will gathering the boys if he feels like (it starts by giving a call to Keith...). But nothing in Keith's words implies that Mick is behind the idea at all. It's te
the opposite I'm afraid. But perhaps this is the 'big boys' talking to each other via media once again, giving a sort of signals. Perhaps not just to Mick but to Charlie as well.

It does all tie in quite nicely, Keiths book finishes with him being back in the Studio again and preparing for a new tour that will conclude on the band's 50th aniversary. The book will read something like "it feels as fresh and exciting as it did ?? years ago", and the great big Rolling Stones publicity machine fires up for one last time.

Thats because he has that affect on people. I almost shit myself when he looked at me one time as well - even though he had sunglasses on - and all I was doing was shaking his hand.

I think it augurs well for the prospect of Jack producing the Stones. Both Mick and Keith seem to admire and like him Ok which is a good start - and most unusual for Keith considering Jack isn't over 75 or dead.

That said, he may feel like he's both over 75 and dead by the time they've put him through the wringer.
