I'm looking out our window, and I can verify that fire does look like a "...red coal carpet." We were evacuated on Saturday, but we are back Sunday night. All seems stable for the moment, but we might need shelter soon.

Another bad year for California wildfires. Stay safe everyone. The good news? is that a hurricane is on the way.

Saw it on the news again today.Heard Schwarzenegger 's talk too.

My thoughts go out to all those around the fire affected areas. It doesn't seem that long ago (it was Feb 7) when we had the worst bush fires in Australia's history, 1000's of homes destroyed, millions of animals & birds gone & 173 dead. What's scary is that they've had some major fires in New South Wales already & the fire season doesn't usually start till January

We are back. When you look out your window and see a gash of flame coming over the next hill, fear really does pierce your bones. Thanks for your soothing words, they helped plenty.

So glad to hear you are OK moosman, let us know if a bushfire appeal is started over there. I know some Aussies will donate to the victims. Its a bloody aweful trauma.

Glad to hear your allright moos. Looks like they are finally starting to get a handle on this beast of a fire.....You didn't miss much while you were gone. Charlie quit,then didn't. Keith said they will be recording a new album. Maybe with Jack White. And their is a new deluxe remastered Ya's Ya's coming out. Slow news day on IORR.
