Not wanting to make the site look like the obituaries for celebrities,I had to mention the passing of Alexis Arguello. Probably the best lightweight boxer that ever put gloves on. You will never hear anyone speak a bad word about him. A true gentleman in or out of the ring. He deeply loved the people of his country (Nicarauga) and served as mayor of his home town after retiring from the ring. He was a master at the art of boxing and tremendously respected.A true class act.

l met Alexis a few times and he was always a true gentleman,but his demons got the best of him,he will be missed,rip.

Thias was sad to hear. He was great fighter. Had some great fights with Aaron Pryor.

I loved this man as much as the Stones. What a fighter, but what a human being
