I'll stick to international acts with my list; probably forgot a few:

Bruce Springsteen (13 since 1992 - # 14 coming up in a month)
The Rolling Stones (4)
Kiss (4)
Bryan Adams (3)
Joe Cocker (3 or 4, not sure)
Mark Knopfler (2, 1 from front row dead-center)
R.E.M. (2)
Elliott Murphy (2)
Rod Stewart/Joe Cocker/Tina Turner (triple bill)
Roger Hodgson/John Fogerty (double bill)
John Fogerty
Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris
Emmylou Harris (best concert EVER!)
U2
Neil Diamond
Simply Red
Status Quo
Shania Twain
Anastacia
Phil Collins
Sting (one of the most boring concerts I've ever attended)
Dire Straits
Nik Kershaw (a long, long time ago)

How's Kiss in concert? That's a band I've always felt I wouldn't pay to go see em live although I like em enough, but if a friend called and said he had tickets I'd go...

Kiss shows are a lot of fun, as long as you don't take them seriously. I mean, Gene Simmons is approaching 60 this year, and Paul Stanley is 57, and these guys still perform in kabuki make-up, odd costumes and platform boots, spewing blood and smashing guitars onstage. But if you see it as what it is, namely a brainless, incredibly loud 2-hour rock'n'roll circus, you should be able to have yourself one hell of a time.

I have all my ticket subs in two scrap books. 435 since the sixties. 101 are Stones concerts.

is it possible to take them seriously?

I've been to hundreds of shows, though have had to tail off over the past 7 or 8 years. Of those, shows at an arena or stadium--probably fewer than 10.

not a dork to keep a thorough record of the shows you've seen. If u are into it and enjoy remembering them and sharing that, why not?

15 garcia band
~6-7 ramones

otherwise, have seen almost everything i'd like to see (and who i could see), often more than once.

Dating back to my first concert on December 31, 1973 (Mountain at the Felt Forum in NYC), I've saved the ticket stub for every show I've attended where the venue gave them. I keep them clipped by year in a large box.

I've seen about 1,000 shows total. For the last ten years or so, I've been going to about 40 per year.

I've seen the Stones 24 times, the Winos 3, Jagger solo and the New Barbarians once each. The people I've seen the most are Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and the Allman Brothers Band, about 40 times each.

I saw kiss once and thought they were good. My one time getting a chance to photograph them for a local paper and wouldn't you know it they did that tour without makeup. It was like seeing Marcel Marceau without his makeup on, just not the same.

According to setlist.fm I have attended 345 concerts of 243 different artists.
(gigs in bars are not included)

First one June 24 1995, Stones at Werchter (Belgium). Not bad for a first gig.
Unfortunately they had a support act (Tragically Hip), so actually that was my first concert.

PLEASE DO NOT wake up old threads. It is confusing, there is a five years gap from the start to the new comments here, and it is VERY confusing. If you need to talk about something then start a NEW thread, unless there is a current one less than a few months old.
