anyone familiar w the nasty noise yakkayak of Pussy Galore from late 80's USA? they put out a C90 of Exile on Main Street in total way back when, never official for obvious reasons, kind of on cd now. so here is it. track by track to listen cringe scream at and wallow in if so inclined....erm either u hate this to the hilt or it's just a nice token of respect gettin some of an exile feel even here and there. some tracks stand out some shit all over their shoes and more...

there are some different versions, indeed. This Exile was released as Cassette and LP/CD, when I remember right

thanks for that. all the info there. i have the 97 reissue cd w extra tracks. sound is pretty good considering. would recommend their Historia De La Musica Rock for way better sounds recording wise and good fun too. Yep a great band that bore great fruits indeed.

Not everyone´s cup of tea but I´ve had this for years and I love it. The musicianship is (intentionally) horrible but they perfectly manage to catch the true essence and the soul of the original album. A great hommage IMO.

Besides, I don´t think the Stones sounded much different when they rehearsed this material way back in ´71.

members of this band--or maybe just the leader--later became the more well known Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Pretty big in the 90s.

Cristina Martinez was perfectly sh@gg@ble when this one was released...

One of my favourite artistic statements.
The versions of "Just Wanna" is hilarious.
The banter on this Pussy Galore recording is great too.
And the moments when you can clear "Exile" playing in the background whilst they play along? Brilliant.
This is the way to do it.
