"Love In Vain" actually wasn't played at the Nicarguan Earthquake Benefit concert or any of the three Honolulu concerts that started the '73 Winter Tour. I thought it re-entered the setlist at their first Australian concert and remained through the end of the tour.
I think it was likely played in Adelaide.

Anybody knows if LIV was played in Adelaide Feb. 21?
It is not included in the CDs but, at the end of Tumbling dice, Jagger says: we're gonna play a blues and soon after he says "we play an acoustic song" and starts Sweet Virginia.
I guess LIV was played but was simply not recorded. LIV was played in all the Down Under Tour, no reason to cut it out from Adelaide second show.

I agree with you but have no information.
One of the following happened: Either the taper somehow didn't record all or part of the song, or someone is hoarding the song for their own reasons. My guess is the former because the latter seems pointless, but you never know.

yes an anomaly for sure.....perhaps it simply wasn't played?
but that would make it 1 out of 50+ shows from 72/73 !! doesn't make sense.
only way to solve it is find someone who attended the show.

Stranger things have happened - didn't they not play YCAGWYW at one of the Cologne shows in 76 - the only time it was missed out in 76/76?

Yeah, I always just assumed that the taper didn't catch it, flipping the tape or something. Pretty sure they would have played it.

Honolulu was one show on 21 and two shows on 22.
