Do you want the feedback only of/from the people who went to the show ?

I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

No, though that would be great!

I would like to know Stones fans' opinions about the concert - I am interested in their thoughts on this concert's merits etc.

I have seen many fans saying how great this concert is, that's all.

Cheers

I have never seen the video, but I think it's good but not necessarily much better than the other good 81 SBDs like Seattle, Phoenix, Hartford, or Brendan Byrne arena.

Keith going el kabong on the fan on stage is a classic though.

Well, what do YOU think of it?

For me, its is almost a perfect show of a truly great tour. The ONLY thing I do not like is the sound of those Ovation guitars on the acoustic numbers. But this remark is like saying that I don't like the shape of Monica Bellucci's little toe nail.

I really like the video ! It really blew me away .

Energy,powerful performance,and the guitars...well,the guitars oh boys !!

One of the best ever Stones shows .One of the best version of Imagination I've heard . Mick didn't shout too much and was singing "in the tune "

I bought the jointrip version from ebay and the dvd blew me away.
A real must have!
Watching the concert I understood once again, why I loved this band so much.

Absolutely brilliant show and a great document of that tour.

That said, from what I've read, it appears that most people who actually WENT to the two Hampton shows in 1981 (this was the first show) preferred the second night.

Brilliantly concert in brilliant quality
Not only the performance is great....also the mood on stage; watching the DVD/VHS is like watching a party - I think the audio only comes to short...when compared to watching the footage at the same time.

For me too it is maybe the best Stones' bootleg (is this better than L&G or not? I can't say really) Great atmosphere, Keiths' playing is top notch, Mick is singing great. The video is very well shot, I only wish it would get an official release with the proper threatment it would deserve. Plus the fact that it was Keith's birthday and the famous Keith-fan accident...But most of all the music ...it can not get any better.

Actually I think it's great

80s Stones isn't my favourite period of their career (I think most fans would agree that by the 80s The Stones were not the force they were - how could they be?) but for me this concert has that something extra special. . .

Cheers

Classic show and the peak of 81/82. To me this concert is the perfect example of Keith and Ronnie`s guitar-weaving. They never did it more perfect then here. TOP!

I've got the jointrip version and it truly rocks. Fave moments on the dvd -

1. At the end of "When The Whip Comes Down" Jagger, Richards and Wood are doing some really cool posing. 2. Before playing "Let's Spend The Night Together" Mick says he's hoping people watching the show on the telly are drinking a few beers and smoking a few joints. 3. The whole show 'cause the band is on fire and it's no doubt that they were the best rock act in the universe at this time.

After listening to it for about 20 years I still find it the perfect Rolling Stones concert. It just doesn't get any better than this gig.

It was the last Rolling Stones concert before the first Corporate Rolling Stones Concert...what a great show...it was such a difference when they let Keith and Ronnie sing back up and Ronnie was free to roam the stage as he pleased.

Wood is such a great entertainer and it is ashame how they have kept him on a leash since 1989.

If I ran for president, my platform would include that a copy of Hampton Be made readily availalbe to every man, woman and child in the country.

What about the 1982-tour?

there is no reason why honest, hard working individuals should be without access to a decent copy of this concert.

I really like this concert on the Jointrip DVD and would give it 9 out of 10.

L & G just shades it at 10 out of 10!

Awesome video.

I only got my paws on it a month or so back You can find segments on YouTube, of course.

Love watching Hang Fire too - Woody is SO out of it and the ending is hilarious :-)

its the best because the stones finally fulfilled their personas before they becae caricatures, the music is kick ass too - in 69 the music was limp and they didnt know who they were.
