FRENCH President Nicolas Sarkozy has axed plans to buy an apartment — because wife Carla Bruni’s ex-lover Mick Jagger has a penthouse in the same block.
Former supermodel and singer Carla, 41, was said to be “very keen” on the £10million flat in Paris. But Sarkozy, 54, was “uncomfortable” about being so close to the Rolling Stones singer.
Carla and Mick, 65, dated for three years until 1996, but have stayed in touch.
A news website reported: “Carla is very excited and is unfazed by the idea of having Mick Jagger two floors above when he is in town.
“The President is thought to be a little less keen.”

Honestly, I don't think I was really comfortable with this whole situation either. I think this is for the best.
