Sports Illustrated rated the Stones Super Bowl half time show
in the top ten:

Of the 10 they chose I would have to give U2 the crown.
The Stones rocked the place and I wish that great stage would show up again!
But U2 was good for America at the time...no American musicians could have pulled that off so powerfully...

Was there backing vocals? I can hear them (not only Chuck), but they doesn't appear. It would be sad to know that they were hidden backstage.

They were -at least most of them. I guess Chuck and of course Darryl was on stage with them, but I can't remember the others.

The Stones kicked ass in their Superbowl HT performance. That version of Rough Justice is awesome.

My top 2 are The Stones and Prince, I think over time people realized that ABC screwed up the mixing, the show itself was kick ass!

The sound seems to be an afterthought on this show every year, it seems. The performers suffer as a result.

They got the #1 position right...IMO 2-10, they all suck. Go back to tradition with Marching Bands.
