That's what I'm talking about. Thank you for sharing it with us Memo from Tina. I have listened to that 78 live music so many times but it is weird to see images of the stones actually playing that goddamn rock and roll music! 78 tour was great. Then 1981, everything changed...
Rock and Roll,

New Orleans. But its not the actual video, the picture is cleverly composed to a soundtrack from Handsome Girls, so the music is not New Orleans at all.

What is the deal with the rest of the Fort Worth footage from 78?What is the rumor or reason it wasnt shown on closed circuit tv like it was supposed to.Is the film damaged like the Knebworth footage?

Never mind the difference between the footage and the audio: the statement is the same - showing the younger generation of music fans and bands: this is what rock and roll is all about; The Stones IS the living link between Chuck Berry and Sex Pistols, and here they play like proving the point. Amazing performance (both of them!)

To comment some more; I cannot not stop being amazed how the band transformed itself from tour to tour - just compare them here to '75 and '81; in each of them the band had an identity of its own kind; and Jagger was a different 'person' in each of them. For example, I cannot imagine them playing "Sweet Little Sixteen" with the attitude and way they do it here in '75 or '81. Was it the time of Tour of Amercans when Jagger was claiming that they cannot play anymore Chuck Berry numbers anymore, that they have grown up away from them or something....But then comes The Pistols and co. and Jagger finds his original inspiration somewhere from his dark heart and kicks the balls of John Rotten and all with it. After 1978 tour the Chuck Berry numbers were not important anymore - coming out of as winners from the criticism of punk movement and flying in the untouctable class of their own - they would play rock-a-billy numbers like "Twenty Flight Rock" instead, you know, just for fun, because they can...

My favorite part right at 3:00 when Jagger garbs the mike stand, ad goes rock'n roller all the way!! he does not do that often where he takes the stand.
In 78 he did those funky ass moves where he jogs in place lifting his knees hi up and swinging in arms too.
It was the first time I saw them ever in 78 and that was the very fist move I saw Jagger do. He looked like a stoned circus clown.
