This may seem like heresy, but I think Angel In My Heart is more beautiful than Lady Jane. New Faces isn't even in the running. IMO.

So I was listening to my iPod (on random play) the other day, and Angel In My Heart came on. I hadn't heard it in ages, and I was absolutely floored by the beauty of that song. What an absolute masterpiece, IMO! Such a gorgeous harpsichord (and other instruments whose names escape me), a beautiful and simple melody, wonderful lyrics, and Mick's vocals have never been more heartfelt. It's the kind of song that can make a grown man cry.
Yes, a lot of Mick's solo stuff is second-rate (or worse), but I don't think it's an exaggeration to put Angel In My Heart in the same league as the Stones' very finest ballads, including Moonlight Mile.
Thoughts?

I agree with you, except that I don't beleive most of his solo work is second rate. Mick explores so many gendres in his solo works. I think too many people want a Mick record to sound like the Stones & when it doesn't people trash it. Too bad because there is much good music such as Angel in my heart that gets overlooked.
