British Blues Legends John Mayall, Stan Webb and Mick Taylor join forces on a musical bill that promises blues at its very finest * it just doesn*t get better than this.
Since forming the now legendary Bluesbreakers in 1963, John Mayall has been regarded as one of the most influential UK Blues men ever and has been awarded the accolade of the Godfather of British blues.
His former side men include ERIC CLAPTON, MICK FLEETWOOD, JOHN MCVIE, PETER GREEN and MICK TAYLOR. With over 45 albums to his credit, John Mayall remains as compelling and original an artist as ever and, when it comes to the blues, Mayall is without doubt No. 1.
Stan Webb's dynamic guitar style and huge stage presence have made Chicken Shack a firm favourite with rock and blues fans everywhere. Their first two albums "40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed And Ready To Go" and "O.K. Ken" stormed into the top twenty in the late sixties, whilst the singles "When The Train Comes Back" and "Tears In The Wind* spent a combined 19 weeks in the top thirty.
Throughout an acclaimed career Stan Webb has played and recorded with the very best, including, STEVIE WONDER, HOWLING WOLF, TAJ MAHAL, CANNED HEAT and PETER GREEN. Stan Webb and Chicken Shack show no sign of slowing down, continually touring the U.K. and Europe to packed houses and rave reviews.
Mick Taylor began his career at the age of 17 when, following in the footsteps of Eric Clapton and Peter Green, became lead guitarist for John Mayall*s Bluesbreakers. After touring extensively and featuring on 5 album, Mick left to join the Rolling Stones where his contributions can be heard on six years of Stones* albums including classics such as *Let it Bleed", "Sticky Fingers", "It's Only Rock n Roll". "Goat's Head Soup" and "Exile on Main Street"
Since leaving the Stones, Mick released a string of solo albums and continues to collaborate with a host of world-class musicians.
British Blues really doesn*t get better than this!
