Nearest big city

Zrich

How to get to the city

You can get easy access from the Airport to Zrich downtown by the Swiss Railway www.sbb.ch.

Tickets

Stadion Letzigrund: Tickets SFr. 134.- (Standing) / SFr. 243.- (Seat). Ticket Sale: Saturday, 6.9.03, from 8 a.m., Tel. +41 1 848 800 800. See 20min.ch for news info, TicketCorner for tickets, and the promoter Good News for general info.

How to get to the venue

The stadium Letzigrund in Zurich is an oval football stadium (open air), similar to the Stade de France, just smaller. Seats are basically all covered, but not numbered.

The Letzigrund is not really in the city center, but in the outskirts and can be reached very easily by tram within some 20 minutes from the center/train station. It's the same stadium where the Golden League athletics meeting takes place every August.

Tram no 3 to ALBISRIEDERPLATZ and walk 300 meters to LETZIGRUND or take tram no 2 at STAUFFACHER to LETZIGRUND. See www.zvv.ch.

Avoid coming by car as Park and Ride places are only in Altstetten and it will take hours to get out again. You can also take a bus route to Letzigrund and you can walk of course, which can take more than half an hour.

Recommended hotels

www.zuerich.com will give you an idea about hotels. if you would like to stay out of town a nice place is www.rapperswil.ch. It's about half an hour ride with S5 from zurich main station.

cheaphotels: look at www.accor.com for Formule one and IBIS. There are located near Oerlikon. Yes we do have also a McDonaldsHotel in Zurich (and one in Estavayer-le-lac) which is unique in the world. www.hotels4you.ch is also a good thing to get idea of the hotels.

Recommended bars/restaurants

Crazy Cow is a funny eating place. Stars right in the main station. well and if you will go fancy for dinner you can throw any money out and dinner can be heaven. For French Fans: Brasserie Lips, but that might be a bit upmarket.
