The Rolling Stones Fan Club of Europe It's Only Rock'n Roll

It was a beautiful night, and we were sitting outside when who arrives but the two of them! Keith strolled in and ordered a tall drink for himself & a drink for Patti sitting outside on the patio. He was dressed in a gray pin stripe suit with a white & black headband, a long flowing Asian design scarf was flapping in the breeze. Patti had a long scarf or pashmina tan colored and a tan cap. John was at the bar discussing football with a very happy & smiling Keith. I walked over to the two of them, still a bit shaky with surprise & joy only a super fan can feel!

We talked about drawing, I told him I really liked his drawing hanging at Luc's & I didn't know he drew. I offered Keith my sketch pad. He said he going to eat. They were so very friendly and fun to be with. I asked if he minded a photo & he said, "Not at all, doll." His nephew-in-law, Herve took a really nice one. John took one with Keith's nod at the bar. Patti remembered us and said, "You're the ones who gave Keith the pen." She was always smiling & friendly, very involved in the conversation. John told Keith he wrote out a nice autograph last Dec. I asked if he'd sign my bracelet. Again, "sure, doll." He made a nice "Love, Keith Richards" on my blue & black leather Hermes. Patti complimented on the bracelet. She said it was really nice & asked if it was? I wasn't sure, I told her the designer.

Later on I went over & wished him a safe trip. He mentioned Italy, Milano... and he hoped so. (SO very "Keith") I told him we'd see them in London & asked what to do there since I'd only been once before, their last tour. He was funny, smiling he said, "I don't know. I haven't been in a while." Herve scrambled outside as it started to rain. Patti got in the SUV & was ready to go. Keith hopped in with Herve at the wheel following Patti for a family good-bye before they fly off to Europe?

We sat smiling thinking about our hour or so with the best musician ever (I had told him, he said, "No, I don't think so, thank you!") Before Patti left I had thanked both for all the music & fun & gave them my love. They are so nice! So sweet! So real! A truly beautiful couple. I did tell Keith We'd see him this fall in the East, NY, Boston. He mumbled & I think it's for sure. Also told him Radio City was awesome. John had mentioned that, also, and how Keith came way up to the first balcony where we were. I told Patti we are the ones with the CONNECTICUT plate they'll see. I'm so glad we were able to spend time with the Richards. Keith & Patti are looking very rested & ready to rock Europe.
