Herman's Hermits, Sept 2, 1967. The Who opened. I didn't even remember an opening act until about 10 years ago while doing some research. The album that hooked me was "The Who Sell Out" which came out 3 months after the show.

Not a huge Elvis fan, but really enjoyed the movie. Very entertaining. The basset hound was beautiful - maybe the best looking basset I ever saw and I've known hundreds. Anybody know who played him? Can't find any info anywhere.

QuoteCooltoplady Please don’t. It’s a corny semi novelty tune. It’s in the I’m Henry The Eighth category. I was watching an old Ed Sullivan episode and about 10 seconds after I read this post Herman's Hermits came on and performed Henry the Eighth.

I never really paid that much attention to the song, but it suddenly just hit me that "Something Happened to Me Yesterday" would be great fun, especially when Keith does the choruses.

QuoteGasLightStreet The Earth is flat. I see your point. It is kind of pancaked in between Mars and Venus and everything. If it was round it would have been more meat-balled in.

Do we ALL have to give up our juniors, or just Keith? I'm pretty fond of mine. It did a great job on Harry's Cat. That's a song title. I didn't take a swing at the cat or anything. Not yet anyway.

Soul Survivor: Played only once. At soundcheck in Columbus 2002. The only people who heard it were some of the Shidoobees who were having a pre-show party inside the arena.

The Who were the one band that I always regretted never seeing live. Had a ticket to see the Cincinnati stampede concert, but our driver backed out at the last minute. As it turns out, The Who were actually the first band I ever saw live. In doing some research a few months ago, I found out that they opened for Herman's Hermits at the Ohio State Fair in 1967. I was a big Hermit's fan
