They have always had "Locals Thursdays" for the second weekend. This will be the first time for a Thursday during the first weekend. I have always gone the second week. The Local Thursdays at the fairgrounds are great. Easier to move around from stage to stage and no lines for the food! The fairgrounds already gets very crowded on the Saturday & Sundays. I think having the Stones on the weekend would be too overwhelming. A seperate day just for the Stones would make more sense. Then again, they could just play the Superdome? Who knows? Either way, more Rolling Stones in 2019 is a gift and a blessing!

FYI - They just added an extra day to JazzFest for the first weekend. Normally it will start on a Friday, but they have added Thursday for the first weekend. My friends that live in NOLA are saying this is to accomodate the Stones. Seems it would be just a seperate day for them?
