QuoteHairball Haven't read all the details of Jazz Fest, but the Stones start at 5:00 pm? If so, why so early? The Fest has always ended around 7pm each day. I dont think the grounds have enough lighting to be safe at night.

People here are talking about the cat walk. I dont see that happening at the Fairgrounds. Besides taking up valuable crowd space, the Stones crew would have to come in and build it earlier in the week, then break it down right after the show that night. Also, keep in mind the area is a grass and dirt field, so I dont think that would be able to support a catwalk, especially if it rains (which

Quotecoloradocanyons Backstory on how Stones were booked for Jazz Fest “Unless Robert Plant decides to do a Led Zeppelin reunion, we’re starting with the biggest band in the world,” Davis said. “They’re a blues-based rock band, the greatest in history. They’re going to kill it.”

Quoteangee Spike, I don't see that anything is on sale now. Do you have a specific link? Does anyone know if there's a code for the presale and what that is? Sorry, looks like they took them down. Couple people I know were able to purchase them earlier this morning.

Quotemnewman505 Depending on scheduling, possible guests with the Stones - Taj Mahal, Gary Clark Jr, Buddy Guy, Jerry Lee Lewis, Robert Cray, and Dave Matthews. I'd bet we see at least one of those. Mavis Staples and Ivan Neville are both on the May 2 schedule. Endless possibilities!

Crazy they are actually holding a live press conference! BTW - Tipitina's has announced their Jazzfest schedule with the exception of one night TBA! One thing strange is they have Karl Denson playing April 26, which is a date between Jacksonville and Houston.

FYI - NOLA Crawfish Festival is happening for 3 days before May 2. This is a great small local festival with great talent lineups. They do it at Central City BBQ. They have an empty lot outside where they setup the stage. Its a locals favorite for the days between Jazzfest weekends. Great music, Crawfish & BBQ, you cant go wrong!

That was great! Mick seems really high but still keeps in control. They talk about some revealing stuff - Micks image (his response is priceless!), Groupies, and singing when he is old (he gets this wrong). Also, the live performance footage is pretty good too. Thanks for posting.
