Easy Sleazy .... is just what this song is....a good formulaic rock song, not a classic but few are. Age is not kind....compare these lyrics with, say, 19th Nervous Breakdown and the creativity is miles apart.

Top of the Pops, a 1-hour new music program hosted weekly by Brian Matthew, featured selections from recording sessions at BBC studios assembled for syndication/export outside the UK. Top of the Pops was also the name of a well-known BBC TV series, but there is no connection between the radio show and the TV show. Over the years this has caused much confusion to collectors of audio tapes who have

As of now (April 2021) how many albums are the Stones currently left contracted to deliver ? Is their contract for "new" music or could they fulfil their contracts by only releasing concert albums or music from the vaults ? BV .....I know you moved my original post into a larger, longer thread but this is a specific question I seek an answer to please (rather than any general

Given the enforced break from touring and the age of The Stones, they must have had discussions between themselves about the future of the band. It is just inconceivable that they would not have discussed their future because they must still have contractual obligations to fulfil, but I wonder what are those contracts ??? Does anyone know what live and recording commitments the Stones are s

Whatever we may wish for......time waits for no-one. Playing drums for 2 hours in you are 80+ yrs is not the same as drumming in your 20s. And singing for 2 hours at 79 yrs is very hard work. The Stones have given their lives to music and I for one am content.

Just watched "The Quiet One" on Netflix. On the sound track is a recording of The Stones performing "Hey Crawdaddy" in better quality than I've ever heard before. It is far better quality than the April 1965 Paris concert recordings. Does anyone know the source for this sound track version in Bill's film ??

Finally discharged..........does not necessarily mean he was in hospital. In UK, it means he is no longer being seen by a consultant for follow up care. He could for example have seriously broken a thigh bone needing steel bolts to mend and you would not be out and home in 3 hours for that sort of break....you may need follow up physiotherapy to walk again and many repeat visits to hospital...o

Saw The Ike and Tina Turner Revue close the first half for the Stones at Birmingham UK in 1966. Tina was a sensation, such a powerful voice and (like Jagger) a charismatic stage presence, born to perform. She also used the microphone and mic stand in a sexual way which back in 1966 England was shocking and exciting. River Deep Mountain High was a show stopper. The second half of the theatre sho

Fully Finished out takes from Stones themselves ? At the beginning of February Keith Richards implied there was new music on the horizon. A week or so later the Japanese Fully Finished Out-takes becomes available in extra ordinary sound quality, in extra ordinary quantity of songs and including previously unheard songs........with strong rumours of more to follow........can that really be a

I have an instrumental track titled "That Place". It is stored in a computer folder with other Stones' tracks from 1963. The track is basically a repeated lead guitar riff with drums, bass and rhythm guitar backing with no vocals. It sounds like the sort of thing Andrew Loog Oldham Orchestra might have done. Sorry, I don't know how to up load the track to this board

OK......enough is enough.......I apologise to all who are bored rigid by this thread.......I wish I had never started it as it. It is now quite clear that when Georgie48 made his original claim that Lennon knew Jones before the Stones and Beatles had formed......he was making it up and taking the piss.......he had at that time no facts to support his statement. Therefore I now disassociate

Well this is all going rather well, isn’t it ? I’ve learnt some new information about Lennon’s family, if not about Brian. Thank you all..........new facts (yes facts) always welcome. British newspaper archives can be accessed online, as can most births, Deaths and marriages in the UK. I wonder if Lennon ever visited the tram museum place that Brian volunteered at ? Guess we will neve

The Beatles and Stones first met on 14th April 1963 when The Beatles were in the audience for a Stones show (actually a dance) at the Crawdaddy Club in Richmond. So come on Georgie48.......please explain how you are so certain that Lennon knew about Jones before either group was formed. Or are you just taking the piss (as we say in England) ? Look forward to hearing from you.............
