In the '70's I lived and breathed Led Zeppelin. Musically it was the most important thing in my life. Of the 18 times I saw them between 1970 and 1977, the 2 best shows that stick out for me was June 25, 1972 and March 27, 1970, both at the L.A. Forum. (I've seen them 16 times at the Forum and twice at the San Diego Sports Arena). I was hypnotized by Jimmy's guitar playi

QuoteJessForte QuoteNate QuoteJessForte I had a really bad time with GA at Quebec City a couple years ago - I was one of the first people in line but when they opened the gates, the older, portlier man behind me shoved me(I was 26, I'm short, average weight and female)to the ground and held me there with his foot with the guards doing nothing, just so he could get in front of me. I was injur

Quotemnewman505 Going Saturday night at Allstate Arena, what time should I expect him onstage? The show I went to was called for 8:00. The lights went out (intro) at 8:10 and played until a few minutes after 11:00PM.

Quotebleedingman QuoteBluzDude Quotebleedingman How great would it be if the "face" price listed is what you actually paid? Ticketmaster is worse than the IRS. "Limited View" side stage seats are priced at $400 face. Go to checkout and the price is $462.50! For one limited view seat in an outdoor stadium! That said, they look like a decent view. Holding out... ???? Loo

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteOpenGHow the West was one( CD1) is now my favorite live recordings I have of Led from La Forum and LA Colisuem. How The West Was Won is truly a brilliant live record. That first disc is killer and that 3rd disc always slays me. 20 minute Whole Lotta Love, the best version of Rock And Roll I've ever heard, a killer rendition of The Ocean and wrapping all up with a 10

First 3 concerts (Hendrix, Cream & the Doors) all before my 14th birthday. I did not attend any of these shows with an adult. I took my son to his first show at about 15 to see Green Day. When I took my son to his first Stones show, he was 18 (Slane Castle, 2007) so I guess he didn't qualify as a child

The Superbowl, a game in neutral territory, did anyone notice there were hardly any Rams fans present? The crowd sounded like a New England home game, also when the cameras scanned the crown I saw maybe one person wearing Rams colors for ever 20 people wearing Patriot's colors.

Quoterstass QuoteBluzDude If you use StubHub, you can change the settings so it will show you the price including fees......this is not the default setting. Never had a problem with them the 5 or 6 times I had to use them. I once bought a ticket (for Liam Gallagher) that was advertised as a pit ticket, I was skeptical as it was priced like Regular GA, when I got to the venue, it was a GA ti

Back in the day, I was never a fan of Ringo's drumming, however I later discovered that what I didn't like was the sound, or tone that (I assume) George Martin used in the recordings from about 1966 on. Now I appreciate it.

Quote35love On October 9, 1981, just five days before the release of his fourth studio album, Controversy, Prince walked onto the stage of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, faced a crowd of roughly 90,000 predominantly white people (what was then his biggest audience ever) and experienced the kind of vitriolic backlash that would become the stuff of rock legend. White people? Is that why they

Quotekeefriff99 I'm not criticizing him...he stood there and signed and posed for dozens of people. I didn't expect him to be chatty based on what I'd seen in interviews. I was more surprised at how thoroughly pleasant Malcolm was. Quotekeefriff99 I think the Young brothers were VERY no-nonsense and cold when it came to band and business affairs. I read an article about how after Bon died, they became even more insular and controlling than they were before. Brian and Cliff were the big partiers back during the BiB/FTATR era, and they ended up clamping down on excess even back then Malcolm was always the leader, so I

QuoteHairball My personal strategy for the upcoming tour: Accept the fact that the setlist will be at least 75% - 80% warhorses. Not a complaint as they're mostly great songs hence the reason they have become warhorses - love 'em live.. Accept the fact that it is mostly a nostalgia fest of decades old songs, with maybe a couple of tunes from the past three decades thrown in for goo
