I know Buffalo, with the NFL controlling the stadium, only had one possible week in September to host a show. Guessing that is why Buffalo is out. Guessing Vancouver is out because of questions of when the border was to open. Though they seems to be settled in the last 2 days, I'm sure the schedule and logistics were already in-place.

Got an email saying my Lucky Dips for Pittsburgh are still good. Though would much rather have seen them in Buffalo 5 minutes away vs 4 hours. Booked a hotel walking distance from the stadium in Pittsburgh already. Getting ready for salads with French fries on them and Iron City beer.

Bummed about Buffalo, but knew there was only one week that could work for it in September, and they aren't starting till after that. At least I know I have that cash, likely minus service fees, and will use it to travel to Pitt, where I have some Lucky Dips

I think (sadly) an awful lot depends as much on an insurance company underwriting a tour with all the possible risks (Covid, Ronnie's health...hell everyone's health in the band, local mandates popping up, etc), as it does on the band being ready and willing to hit the road. An actuary in an office building somewhere, who prefers classical and jazz, plus occasionally going wild and l

I have never seen them but will at this festival 10 minutes from my house. The band on the bill I really want to see is Neal Francis, who's record and vibe seems direct from 1970-1972.

QuoteTKinOH Nice piece about the return of stadium gigs, including The Stones... The article mentions Billy Joel moving stadium shows to 2022 after postponing from 2020 to 2021...but he is playing the same stadium here in Buffalo that the Stones postponed were to play in 2020.....in 7 weeks from now, to full capacity (assuming he can sell that many tickets)

QuoteMr Jimmy Just thinking out loud here, but based on comments (even from Mick?) that it may not be possible to do the exact tour as it was originally planned... We already know that San Diego isn't happening unless they switch to Petco Park, which is a baseball stadium and would go against the other venues that are American Football stadiums. Based on the weather / climate factor, t

Hanging out with an old college roommate tomorrow who's coming to town for a visit. I was Stones/Who/Kinks and he was into Floyd and Genesis, two bands I did not listen to at all at age 18 - just too mellow. Getting high and listening to Umma Gumma converted me pretty quickly. Downloading this now and looking forward to going back in time, cranking this up with him tomorrow. Thanks

The second weekend is amazing once you drop past Stevie Nicks, Jimmy Buffet, HER, Tedeschi Truck and Beach Boys. I could not be bothered with any of them. I'm considering going, leaving each night before the headliners and back at the Maple Leaf or down Frenchman's to see local music.

Unless they were just moving slow in 2015 it took about that long. I live near the stadium and drive by daily and caught part of set up and take down. Then again, the firm AEG subcontracted to run things did not pay about 100 stage hands till well after the show, as half the checks bounced, so maybe that had something to do with it. Off-season for the Bills and no pressure maybe then to move

The Buffalo Bills play in Buffalo 9/12 then are gone till 9/26. I believe it took about a week to get the stadium ready for their 2015 show, and then 3 days to clear all out. So the 16th is in that window.

A PR move. Where you're incorporated and your place of business is in the states, and whether you're represented by a union contract are the main factors on whether you can let someone go in a situation like vaccine status. If the employer decides it's a condition of employment, and you choose to not meet that condition, and the employer lets go everyone who is not vaccinated, you

Lol Zeppo1. I like Face Dances, too. The first tour with Kenny was great, saw them a few times. But 1982 shows sometimes lacked energy for sure. It was supposed to be a 'farewell tour' and they definitely seemed to be much less adventurous on-stage, less energy. They seemed to have fun at most of the shows I was at, but that fire was gone. 1989 was like seeing a tribute band. Fu

At least when I saw them on the 79 tour, in Buffalo, at a few points they bounced into 'jams' a few times. Off "Sparks", with the band on fire, just pouring energy onto the crowd like gasoline onto a fire, it seemed like they needed to bring it down a notch and started 'Dance It Away' and give Roger a few second break before launching into 'Won't Get Foole

NFL schedules will be out shortly. Maybe once NFL dates at stadiums are solid bands can then find routing that works. I know here in Buffalo Billy Joel and Def Leppard have dates in August for the stadium. But I am guessing all will depend on which states/localities seem 100%to on board with allowing 100% capacity at their venues.

I think this piece is, lyrically at least, as current in 2018-today in the US as it was in 1972-73, maybe more-so. Police shootings constantly in the news, often for mistaken reasons, like this week's shooting of a 20 yr old black kid when the officer mistakenly pulled her pistol instead of her taser, putting a bullet in his chest. I have not heard a live version in decades that was anyw

Totally agree Mathis. Their last great, daring album, social/political commentary, sex...not sure why Jim Barber was or why is plays what is lasted as .main guitar' on Too Much Blood but Keith throws down some great riffs on most of the rest of the songs. Wanna Hold You, All The Way Down and Must Be Hell are great gems. True story: I moved to Buffalo at the end of 1983 and was out cele

I saw him open for The Who and The Clash at Rich Stadium, outside Buffalo in September 1982. I was not a Dolls fan, and knew little of him, but I remember him covering some The Animals' "We Gotta Get Outta This Place' though I may be wrong. Memory a little foggy with the passage of time...and booze we snuck-in.
