NumberOneStonesFan, My impression was that Mr. Ertegun fell before the concert that night, from news articles at the time. Doing some research through Google, I found that most articles did not say whether it was before or after, and I found two that mentioned "before". (At least he got into the Beacon. Okay, sorry. His death is sad.)

Yes, there were technical problems in hearing the set list from the concert. I think that should be about right now. :-) I do believe there was one show or perhaps two that had both the Hot and the Cold.

I saw both shows last weekend too, wearing a Stones jacket at the Who. I waited for the warhorses at the Who, true, for reasons people said. As far as feelings between Pete and Roger, I noticed a definite comaraderie at the show, especially when they were jamming on My Generation.

And I like Sarah did find out about the death and was worried that he couldn't g6 on, until I realized he'd do it anyway. Mick seemed more emotional than usual, with good reason of course, and more talkative.

From what I understand (from her written descriptions), the reason the real fan Deb made it back into the front the second night is because Keith asked that she be placed in the same corner spot near him that she was in at the first concert. Her enthusiasm easily distinguishes her from the rest of the pretty people, planted. Thanks for posting the article!
