In 82, I think the sound mix was better, and they may have played "harder" but there were no truly inspiring moments like in 81. So in that sense it was flat by comparison. Re: the tempo, as I always like to say, by 82 they didn't need to speed up the tape to sound like they did on LSTNT.

We've had a much welcomed rainy and cool start to winter in Northern Cal. Looks like one more storm next week then a milder dry pattern. While the rain is encouraging, I think from here on out we will be in an overall rain deficit. We need to figure out a better way to manage our water supply.
