The "Tommy and Pam" mini-serie on Hulu is very good; Motley Crue appears in a couple of scenes played by look alike actors. But the actress who does Pam is spot-on. Rockandroll. Mops

By the time it was 1978, Mick took his antics to another level; he licked Ronnie 's face (SNL) and grabbed Woody's crotch (Some Girls Live in Texas). Ronnie didn't seem to mind. Rockandroll, Mops

Something I have noticed while listening to That's Allright Mama(1954) is the sliding little phrase that Scotty plays several times; it seems to me to have influenced Keith. Two notes played together and sliding them which creates a nice musical phrase that is very noticeable. Thank you Scotty. Rockandroll, Mops

QuoteRockman Tom Taylor When it comes to reggae and roots music The Rolling Stones always pilfered like high seas pirates with benevolent intent. They had their finger to the pulse and back in 1973, they decided a sunshine excursion was necessary to cut Goats Head Soup in Jamaica. This was a time Keith Richards remembered fondly in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, “ very memor

Quoteretired_dog QuoteDoxa Quoteharleybla A nice read. Thanks for the link. "Brown Sugar" was a bit odd choice, but "Casino Boogie" was a good pick up. But I wholeheartedly agree with "Winter". That probably is my all-time favourite lead guitar captured on record. If I'd been Jagger, I had given Taylor a song credit for that. His contribution goes way o

If the Rolling Stones have more of the " Fully Finished outtakes" in their vaults they should make them available to the public. I still listen to the ones released last year regularly. Rockandroll, Mops

QuoteRollingWithEdward Here an interesting analysis by RickRick Beato - Angie Beato on the song Angie. Very well documented on the musical writing of this song I feel like Rick but he has the words and sensitivity of a great musician to explain it. Fantastic. Rockandroll, Mops

Ok it is simple but it is played in a way that is amazing. The configuration of the chords and the tempo, when the arpeggios start are different and create a sound that is fantastic. it is not just stumming Aminor, E7, G etc.. Rockandroll, Mops

The introduction in itself is really amazing and although Keith had done wonders before on accoustic "WildHorses", Angie is something else. Fanstatic work on these accoustic guitars.Maybesome will argue that it is not Keith playing but I think it is just by intuition. Rockandroll, Mops

Mick is the main writer and his well did not seem to be dry if what he says is true. To release a rolling stones record of new material is what appears to be difficult for them to do.Only Mick and Keith can explain but they don't really know; too picky with the last record. Rockandroll, Mops

After seeing them in Pittsburg, I think the Stones still play very well live. Mick is really amazing. Keith and Ron focus on playing. Steve is great. I don't know if Jordan is the reason. The band seemed super happy to be there and it shows in the music. Rockandroll, Mops

Fantastique show. It gives me confidence when arguing with nay-sayers that the Stones is still a rocking force live. From the right Pit, it hits you in the heart and the guts !!! What a buzz and a High to see them live that close !!! I am still in shock. I love my Stones and I know why!!! Rockandroll, Mops

The interview went so fast and for me it was a good interview. The talk about "The moves" was great. Mick stood up for Keith by telling Howard that Keith also had "moves". But during the songwriting part Mick had a little fun at the expend of Keith when he said about songs that Keith said "I wrote them but I don't remember them" Mick added ironically " but

If they don't play Brown Sugar it is Mick Jagger's decision. He is the singer and nobody forces him to sing anything unless Mick wants it. Maybe Mick doesn't want to sing that song anymore. It is his choice. I wish they will play it at some point during the tour. Great mythical guitar riffs on that one. Rockandroll, Mops

I believe Steve Jordan is playing with the Rolling Stones because he is very close to Keith. Steve had Charlie's approval too. I don't think it was a "political" decision that motivated Mick and Keith. The fact that Steve is afroamerican is just anecdotal. Steve is a great drummer who connect at all levels with Keith: and that matters. I hope Howard Stern asks Mick Wednesday
