I would bet they go over the $400 mark. It was $350 last time, and at the rate of inflation, $400 seems the next milestone. Still, the Stones can charge whatever they want, they dominate over everybody when it comes to live performances. Whether it's U2, Macca, "The Boss"...or whoever, the Stones are always the best ticket in town.

27512. Re: Tours
I paid an arm and a leg last tour to see multiple shows around the globe, and it was well worth it. This upcoming tour I'll probably only sacrifce my little pinky finger and/or baby toe, and stick around my small corner of the world for a show or two. It would be financially and physically impossible to duplicate what I did during 40Licks, and attempting to relive the excitement and a

Speaking of the resurrections of songs, I can think of million (almost) of them. Time to break out some of the long lost gems..."The Last Time" for instance. That song says it all. Probably the theme song of the tour if my intuition is right.

Everybody has a "warhorse" that they would love to be kicked off the list. I have to admit, Start Me Up is getting pretty boring hearing it live. Aside from the awesome one-of-a-kind historical riff from Keith, the rest of the song turns into boredom. Once the holy riff has been played, it's time for a piss break as far as I'm concerned. Someone get me a beer! I never l

There needs to be a balance between reason and faith, and thats where most of the one-sided people go wrong. They shut themselves off from the other side of the debate. Only the narrow-minded ones (scientists...and/or extreme fundamentalists) are missing the whole point of the mysteries of life. They can't even see or appreciate the other side of the coin without a heated arguement. When

On a serious note... Ronnies health concerns are the priority here. Any lighthearted gesturing on my part about how he performs with the Stones or how he could negatively effect their reputation should be taken with a grain of salt. I really don't care if he plays like shit with the Stones, he's a human being. My prayers are with him.

Dylan always considered himself a serious poet first, and a musician or a pop star as secondary...an afterthought. His words are timeless and will live forever. It seems he has understestimated himself though, because his musical output, lyrics included, are also timeless. Not only to his true fans, but amongst everybody for centuries to come. In the big picture of Rock and Roll music, Dyla

Simply put, Ronnie and alcohol/drugs don't mix. Keith and M.T. come from a different breed of rock star, they don't have the same problem Ronnie has. While the drink and drugs may enhance the creativity of level of certain artists and musicians (Keith and M.T. for example), it is quite evident that it's a major problem for Ronnie, and in the big picture it's obviously

Ticketmaster-UK are complete idiot/numbskulls and can hardly be trusted. They've caused more pain than good whenever Stones tickets are concerned. There were horror stories last tour when they sent out wrong tickets with wrong floor plans for the last Wembley show, demanding that the precious tickets be sent back to them for corrections. Thankfully I wasn't one of the victims.

Forget about live versions with Lisa...she annihilates the song with her pyrotechnic/Mariah Carey-esque squealing. A little showboating on her part, and totally uncalled for. Studio version..thats the best version.

To Mick, Love Keith "You Don't Move Me" You made the wrong motion Drank the wrong potion You lost the feeling Not so appealing Why do you think you got no friends You drove them all around the bend Oh Yeah You don't move me anymore Now you wanna throw the dice You already crapped out twice Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah You don't move me anymore

Paul should at least invite RINGO to join him on this new tour, thats the least he could do for the true "backbeat" of the Beatles. Just as the Stones need to reunite with Mick Taylor for a special occasion, the same can be said for Paul and Ringo.

He's been riding on the coat-tails of the Beatles success since 1970. He really needs to focus on writing some decent new tunes rather than regurgitating all the old Beatles classics. I bet George and John are pissed off about this, rolling in their graves.

BaboonBro, I am also 41. I was born in the middle of a cross fire hurricane to the sounds of the Beatles and Stones dominating the airwaves and invading America. They are truly the soundtrack to my life, since day one.

TomK, I saw Mick Taylor in '81 or '82 at the Roxy Club in L.A. with the John Mayall and Bluesbreakers...a reunion I think they called it, even John McVie was on bass. Was this the same show? I remember John McVie was marching around the stage barefooted, thumping his bass, and his empty beer bottles were all over the place. Dangerous! Mick Taylor literally ripped and was the h

HEAVEN is an amazing song. The echo effect on the guitar and the groovin' reggae/dub repetitive bass line and beat is simply hypnotic. Whenever I get the urge to be critical of Micks guitar playing, I stop in my tracks and listen to this tune...very, very loudly I might add. In hindsight, it might have been nice if Keith could have added a few nice signature riffs here and there, but t

Debris, Have we forgotten the gem SAINT OF ME from Bridges To Babylon ? I hope not. This was the best example of the Stones being the Stones from this period, regardless of whether or not Keith had any involvement in the studio version of the song. I even like all the weird single remixes of the song with the throbbing techno beat. While the lyrics are a shallow attempt by Mick to recapture

The thrill is back! No matter how jaded one becomes with the Stones recent recorded output (the last 24 years), there's no denying the overwhelming excitement whenever hints of a new Stones tour start infiltrating the mind. The Stones are the best, and I will see them again and again...until the day I die (or they call it quits). The last tour? I don't think so and I certainly

Disillusioned words like bullets bark As human gods aim for their mark Made everything from toy guns that spark To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark It's easy to see without looking too far That not much Is really sacred... And if my thought-dreams could be seen They'd probably put my head in a guillotine But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only.

Diedre...may I call you Detritus? You have some valid points regarding One Hit. I do like the accoustic, but it's been so damn long since I took the time to give it a fair listen, that I've simply forgotten the qualities of the tune. Still though, Undercover had some gems on it such as Too Much Blood. The afro-carribean rhythm section and that whacky horn section! If it weren&

The only saving grace from the song One Hit is the guitar by Jimmy Page. The rest is sad, sad, sad...the back-up singing, mechanical drums, etc....the beginning of the downward spiral I'd say. And what about the video of this song? It's been years since I've seen it, but the stench still lingers in my brain. Complete nonsense!

In the state that Keiths fingers are in, perhaps he could invent a new 3-string open tuning technique. That would be easier on the knuckles, and I'm sure he could kick out some serious Stones style riffs. Plus...less tuning work for the guitar technicians backstage.

Love Is Strong is the last of the great Stones songs. The harp wails and the guitars are battling it out the whole way. Charlies drums kick ass. After that we had "Anybody Seen My Baby". What the @#$%& was that? The rapping in the middle of that song destroyed it, and when listened to today, it is completely outdated...probably more so than any Stones song. Mid-nineties

Personal experience: 1981 L.A. Colliseum - my first Stones show. Prince was booed off the stage ferociously and with a vengeance by the Stones fans, even having empty whiskey bottles hurled directly at him. He almost literally crawled off the stage with a whimper, making room for the J. Geils band and George Thoroughgood who definitely rocked the house. Then...when the Stones hit the stage

If Ronnie was unable to continue with the tour plans due to his alcoholism, and the decision for a replacement were up to Mick...we'd probably end up with some idiot such as Lenny Kravitz to replace him. God forbid. Lets hope Ronnie can overcome his problems, I'd rather see him than anyone else at this point. Mick Taylor is a shot in the dark and it would never happen in this l

There are many, many, many (too many to mention) classic lyrics from Mick...a great writer. Classic lyrics from Get Off My Cloud: The telephone is ringing I say, "Hi, it's me. Maybe Ronnie needs to start painting to get his mind off the drinking. It's an uphill battle for him it seems. Most artists I know who quit drugs and/or drinking plunge straight into their artwork with a vengeance and never look back. Their art is their therapy. Ronnie seems to be confused about all this...is he a painter? Or is he a drug and alcohol infested rock and roller? Or is he
