Hardly a "new suspect": lots of us have suspected him for several years. If he didn't actually do the deed, then he may well have been involved in getting Thorogood (& mates?) to do it. The timing does not seem accidental to me, Scott Jones's report only gets handed to the police within a few weeks of Keylock dying? Even though he published the findings of the report i

It was played on the Eamonn Andrews show on ITV in '67, (not sure if it was live or mimed) which inevitably no longer exists.

I think hallucinogenics should not be lumped in with addictive hard drugs. Although hard to play while high on acid, DMT, STP etc (although the Dead & Country Joe & The Fish managed well) there is no question that they can open your mind & inspire new, often innovatory directions. Pink Floyd in particular, but also most of the psychedelic groups in the UK & the US consumed at leas

Very sad. 'City Drops Into The Night' is one of my favourite songs (as well as 'People Who Died'). I've got a poor quality cassette recording of Keith playing 'People Who Died' with him. He always stuck me as a kind of male Patti Smith. I am surprised he never broke bigger.

So much for the three new tracks!! I was all excited to get my hands on a freebie copy last night from the Madame JoJo's release party, got home and immediately put the disc in the machine to check out dvd footage of the ultimate version of SFTD + Live With Me & Stray Cat Blues only to find none of these tracks are on the disc!!!! No, it's just the same old extras as the Criteri

It's probably Beggars Banquet as I think Mick bought his Moog in '68; I seem to remember Streetfighting Man using it for a backgound drone but don't quote me on this.

"And that this is the reason why none of it has ever been offered on any market?" Actually I think some stuff from Cotchford did surface on the market a few years ago. Annoyingly I am very hazy about the details and the sources may not have been reliable but I recall anger on one of the BJ sites about the 'Brian Jones Fan Club' (one of the two that use(d) this name) being i

I don't suppose anyone out there has heard or even got a copy of the supposed 15 minute version that Roy Carr talks about in his book?

Why is there a video of an Eddie Cochran single spinning on a turntable to accompany 'Sing This Altogether'?? Then the next song 'Citadel'comes up with the classic lyric 'Candy and Taffy, we hope you both are well' - that did make me laugh!

Never heard of even a rumour about this! RC did feature in a Stones in '67 article a few years back a Stones designed picture for We Love You which I think was for a card/postcard to send out to the fanclub...

"If you delve into her backgound, I would say pretty solidly middle class with some artistic pretensions on her mothers side and academic pretentions on her fathers side." We were talking about her character in 'Irina Palm' rather than Marianne herself.

I didn't think her accent was super-posh, just well spoken, and the family seemed pretty middle class, or lower middle class, so it wasn't a problem for me

I checked my psych bible 'The Tapestry of Delights' but unfortunately it doesn't have the answer. It does mention that all the tracks on 'Retrospection' were produced by Wyman so it seems quite likely that the b-side was as well...

Great stuff. I was especially impressed by her performance in Irina Palm (& by the film itself). She managed to suppress her more theatrical instincts and played the frumpy suburban grandmother to perfection. Sometimes with her film & stage roles you are always aware you are watching Marianne Faithfull playing someone but not here, she reminded me of what a good actress she can be. It

Someone should have pinched the tape out of the video player but unfortunately nobody did... I did try my hardest to offer the guy with the tape a swap and/or cash but he wasn't gonna budge.

I wonder how well off Nile is? That will probably determine if it ever gets out (legally or not). It would be worth a listen but I'd rather hear Mick jamming with Hendrix on Let It Bleed tracks from '69.

On second thoughts the obvious thing for the Stones to do would be have a Later special to themselves like Radiohead & Bowie etc. The Stones must be about the only surviving major act not to appear on Later yet...

It would be great. I wonder seriously why they haven't done it already in '94/95, '97, '99, 2003 etc when they are fully rehearsed and hot? They've done live spots on inferior US shows a few times so why not grace the best British music show and reach several million viewers too. Jagger likes Jools & has done the Tube & a special in Paris with him & Woody'

T&A: "...we all know that women are just as bad as men in most regards; worse in many..." Actually I'm a bloke but i don't think this at all. The proportion of women killers, rapists, paedophiles etc is fractional compared to that of men. Re Spector, how come shooting this actress through the mouth merits only a second degree murder? (& I hear defence were hoping

I wish they'd experiment a bit, not stay mired in the blues (much as I love that). I don't see an album of blues covers as "mature", I see it as playing safe. Last time they really did experiment over a whole album was 'Satanic Majesties' and I still think it's one of their best & easily their most underrated album. They've spent so much time and effo

Wow, that Seth Man can write! Who the hell is he? I always adored the 12" Undercover & esp. the dub 'Feel On Baby'. I used to love putting that on at parties, getting the whole room in a serious groove & then drop the bomb that it wasactually the Stones to shocked disbelief. That article has inspired me to track down & buy the 12" Too Much Blood too, which I
