QuoteRobberBride QuoteCJFP 23 tracks cut? 2 albums perhaps? Yeah, didnt Ronnie let that slip? "two albums"? Sounded like he said so. Yeah, that surprised me! Hard to tell if he meant "We had enough material for two albums" or "We're going to be releasing another album soon"...

Fallon is a fan of everything--that's the problem. He fawns over any celebrity who will answer his questions. I agree with comedian Drew Michael: Fallon makes Jay Leno look like Malcolm X. A perfectly safe moderator for the Stones. The Andrew Watt of late night tv. I'm ELATED for this event and record but won't be expecting insightful questions from Fallon. Just some hahaha o

This title makes me hopeful. It's far more evocative than Honk or Grrr or A Bigger Bang or Gotta Get a Grip or even Living in a Ghost Town.

So this title alludes to broken glass from theft, yes? Kinda like hitting the wall...

Quotedaspyknows Just saw Patti Smith in SF. She was good! Next up The Flaming Lips I was there too! Fun show. Took awhile for her to play a song from the '70s, but I appreciated that. Her '90s work is great. I'll be at a different free show next weekend: John Cale in Brooklyn.

What's Mick supposed to say? "No, we have no plans to tour"?

I sampled a few boots from this tour, and the banter is mostly the same show-to-show. I got a little tired of it when I saw him. If you cut the talking from the Berkeley recording, there's only 80 minutes of music.

I'm a fan, no quote marks necessary. He's experimental, gay, a pioneer bending narrative and amping up sex, decadence, independence. There's nothing like Fireworks from 1947. To make the movie, teenage Anger invited sailors to his home while his parents were out of town. Or Scorpio Rising's celebration of biker culture and Motown, and death. Or Luficer Rising, shot at the pyra

What were Keith's feelings at the time about "Miss You"? The song to me is Mick's successful attempt at riding a trend to revitalize the band. Seems like many of Mick's songs are similar, albeit far less successful, attempts. Was Keith always against chasing a contemporary sound? At what point did he put his foot down? I still think that no matter the end product, this

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteKoen He played on two songs, and barely played guitar. Willie was the real trooper. Trouper. Big difference. At this point, they're interchangeable. I've only seen "trooper," but I live in the (admittedly militaristic) US...

Hilarious off-the-cuff comment by Keith: "I'm surrounded by Nelsons... They should build a column!" Beautiful performances.

I don’t place much belief in such an article, but after seeing Andrew Watt’s masturbatory guitar work for the last four shows with Iggy, it rings true. Dude has no right to smash the high end guitars he uses.

QuoteDeanGoodman I'd recommend anyone within 500 miles of the Palladium to get there on Thursday. Agreed! And a heads up: tix on StubHub are now going for less than $60 after fees.

Quotesdstonesguy Anyone going to the Palladium gig on Thursday? See you in line... Woulda thought some hardcore fan would go just for Matt Clifford I'm going to all five shows! Tonight in LA it was great to see Matt tonight let loose a bit, wave to the crowd and bask in the energy. At the Orpheum, the third out of five shows with the all-star band the Losers, Iggy made the best out

Glad to see that another IORRer was at the show! A fun time. Iggy is holding up well. I’m not sure about this band though, which seemed more like the groups he had in the 80s and 90s. Lacked the sophistication of the Free band (which I saw in Chicago last month—they could tear it up on occasion) and Post Pop Depression, and lacked the insanity the Stooges brought. A middle zone of rich and slick

Around 14 times. I didn't follow them from 2000 until 2016, partly from diminished interest and partly from not having the money to see them (too old to have my parents take me, too broke to justify the cost). Now here I am, with less youth and more money.

Given their ages, I can’t imagine the Stones would postpone another lucrative tour because of record pressing delays. I admit I’m worried about their health…

In the mid aughts, I worked at the Strand Bookstore in New York. Tom Verlaine browsed the bargain carts outside everyday rain or shine. With all the 48 and 98 cent books he bought, there probably wasn’t much room in his apartment. It was a thrill to see him at my workplace—a legend from a bygone era, a time that young guys like me are nostalgic for even though they hadn’t even been born yet! G
