Somg is great, but if this song was basically written in 1982, how is it a new song and any different than songs like Plundered My Soul ,which was written in 1972 but Mick then added to it in 2009?

QuoteJackda Who knows ? Maybe Keith has given himself a new challenge ? Trying to do as good as his own songs listed below, starting this time from Mick's "raw material" ? Rocker : Gimme Shelter, Street Fighting Man, Satisfaction, Tumbling Dice, Honky Tonk Women, Start Me Up, JJF, Love Is Strong, Happy, Connection, Before They Make Me Run, Heartstopper, Wicked As It Seems......

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotefrankotero GHS was all Mick, I didn’t know it. It wasn't. Mr D, CDA, Angie, ST, Star Star weren't all Mick.Didn'tKeith say Mr D and Can You Hear the Music were his riffs.I thought he also said Star Star was all Mick’s song

Quotebig4 All the people on here complaining about another album of Mick-written songs and Keith not very involved or involved enough, just getting one Keith ballad he sings and a rocker he doesn't. Are we talking about Goat's Head Soup or the yet-released Hackney Diamonds? Because everything y'all are saying just as easily applies to GHS.Actually , I think Some Girls Mick wrote mo

QuoteDeeGee Take "Sympathy for the devil" - clearly a Jagger-only lyric. Keith meanwhile concentrating on guitars and bass-lines. Fine by me. As a musician who composed songs with other musicians I must insist on pointing out that going into a studio with a - as it was written ealier - "pre-written" idea does by all menas not mean that this e.g. just a Jagger song. I would love to hear the June 251972 night show in great sound quality and the Wembley 1973 complete show or compendium of all 3 shows.I also hope they have the complete June15, 1975 Buffalo show. That was a great show

Quotekeefriffhards QuoteMelBelli Quotekeefriffhards QuoteBjorn DandelionPowderman - still, it feels kinda strange. The power MUST come from the right. Right? Brown Sugar? Kinks One for the road. Black Sabbath. My brain is brought up that way. It´s like reading to me - there you go left...and to the right. Well, guess I´m gonna love this record anyway. Cool. I'm with you on that, somethin

Isn’t Keith on the left channel for songs like Bitch, Angie, Dead Flowers, Silver Train.Although I really like what I have heard from the new album, the mix on Angry sounds like a Mick solo album. The vocals are way up and the great guitars are a little muddy. It sounds likeKeith wasn’t involved mixing it .

I hope when I’m 80 I look as good as Mick and am as mentally sharp. But during the interview he said Stevie Wonder, BbKing and Ike and Tina Turner were all opening acts for the Stones on the 1972 tour

Quoteredkev Version wise Satisfaction peaked on th 1969 tour.Even with questionable guitar tuning and sloppy playing the Hyde Park 69 version was fantastic. I still love it but it’s never been as good as back then imo.Always liked the Uptite/Satisfaction medley they did with Stevie Wonder and Wonderlove on the 1972 tour

QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteDoxa What goes for the stressing the technical level of musicianship I find that generally very odd in the context of the Stones. None of them have been any master musicians in a technical level. Okay, probably Taylor's fluidity once was pretty exceptional, but hey, to shine technically in a lead guitar department of the Stones is not that big accomplishment. On

Down with Ronnie because he's not Taylor. Down with Darryl because he's not Bill. Down with Chuck because he plinks. Down with Matt because of the tambourine close-up during "Brown Sugar" (okay

Mathijs , What is your opinion of George Harrison’s guitar playing on the early Beatles songs, 1963-1965? Like Hard Days Night or She Loves You in terms of simplicity or level of technical prowess. To me as a non musician they are great and perfectly fit the song , but deceptively, sound pretty easy to play .

I like both , so I don’t have to choose. If I disliked one of the songsthen Iwould choose the other. It’s like choosing between Exile and Sticky, or Some. Girls and Goats Head Soup. I will say I also like the songs Living in the Heart of Love, Plundered My Soul, and Criss Cross, which were released since Steel Wheels

Quotesf37 Quotepeoplewitheyes I didn't say it's hard to make a 7-min song, I said it's hard to make a long song worth listening to! I'm not sure the Stones have many 7-min songs in their oeuvre (excluding live, obvs) True enough. I would say their best example of such a lengthy song would be "Can't You Hear Me Knocking", mostly thanks due to its awesome jam
