So I became a Stones fan when I was 10 years old in 1975. In '78, I had a chance to see them at the Capitol Theater in Passaic NJ but my parents decided that wasn't ok for a 13 year old! My son was born in 93 and , as long as I can remember, has loved the Stones with me. In '06, when he was 13, I took him to his first show and took great pleasure in telling my folks that their

I like the Nike trainers. Keith wears them on occasion as well. They look a lot better than those turquoise lace up slippers that Keith has been sporting lately!

Given Mick's friendship w Lorne Michaels, I'm surprised he wasn't at the SNL 40 celebration.

Every time I see a picture of Charlie, I think what an amazing character actor he could have been. His facial expressions and small mannerisms convey so much more than most people's words.

Never understood why this one didn't achieve "War horse" status. Always a live highlight and clearly one that modern day Keith loves playing. The Ya Yas version may be Taylor's finest moment as a Stone.

I should know the answer to this but I don't- what was Mick's reaction/ response when Keith suffered the brain injury? Did he fly to NZ? Any public comment or rumors of private support?

Sorry to sound judgemental but it's hard to look at that picture and not be a little pissed at Rod. Seems pretty obvious that Mac really wanted a Faces reunion, even if just a brief one. Rod's spent the last years making horrific cover albums instead of returning to the thing that gave him the most musical credibility of his career and now Mac is gone.

A "what if?" to ponder.....If Ronnie Lane hadn't fallen ill and had remained active and healthy, would he have been a candidate to replace Wyman when Bill left the band? The idea of a touring unit of Mick, Keith, Charlie, Woody, Lane, Mac and Keys makes me smile.

I kind of remember a picture from an after party on the '81 tour where Mick was wearing a t shirt that had various mis spellings of Mac's name (McLagen, MacLegen etc). anyone else recall that?

Thoughts and prayers to Mac's friends and families. Hindsight is always 20/20 but wow I wish Rod had bagged those awful Songbook records and done a proper Faces reunion w Mac, Woody and Jones. Seems like every time he was asked about it, he'd say "we will get to it eventually".

In all the sadness, I do find some happiness in the fact that he was able to participate in the 14 tour. I bet that was very meaningful to Bobby as well as the Stones.

Watched "This is 40" with my wife last weekend and was so thrilled to get a brief glimpse of Mac in the last scene when Ryan Adams was playing live. Just last night I was watching Let's Spend The Night Together w my 17 year old daughter. At one point during Under My Thumb the camera cuts to Mac and Stu pounding away on the keys and I said to my daughter "Isn't it sad

I'm not much into the sophmoric stuff but Stern is a damn good interviewer. Can you imagine a Stern- Keith interview?

I LOVE that song and lyric...so evocative. "Now I'm in my car- ooh I got the radio on. And I'm a yelling at the kids in the back, cuz they're banging like Charlie Watts".

I would respectfully disagree with the point that their relationship "doesn't matter". I think the mythology of the Mick- Keith partnership is a key reason The Stones have endured for so long and why so many people maintain their interest. Something about these 2 childhood friends reuniting on the train stand and then going on to form the Rock and Roll archetypes of lead singer

Sure seem to be getting on much better than on the North American tour. Anyone have any insight about a behind the scenes reconciliation? Just good to see the boys smiling at each other.

Would love to hear Monkey Man live. One of my favorite Keith riffs. The phrasing in that lead almost makes it such that the guitar is the co lead vocalist.

Monkey Man! Why is SFM not a "war horse"? It's always great and has such a meaningful place in Stones history. Keith always seems to rise to another level when he plays those chords.

Loved it! And a good example of why MT should be on stage more. Keith can lay back and rock the rhythm while Woody and Taylor do the fills.

From the stills and some of the videos, it seems like Mick and Keith are interacting much more on stage. They seemed so icy toward each other on the 50 and counting shows. Started to see some thaw in Glastonbury and it looks like things have improved. Not sure why it's so important to me that 2 70 year old millionaires are friendly with each other but, as a life long fan of these guy

Interesting that the video is Mick and 4 shadows. That song does take me back. I remember getting the sheet music to the IORR album and playing that opening chord sequence over and over on an old beat up acoustic when I was 11 years old.
