He has been humming YGM during MR quite a lot, since 2015. On the Zip Code tour YGM was the song I most desperately wanted to hear, but his humming was the closest I got. But, yes, Dusseldorf was a bit of variety! syrel

Quotetioms If you want to see a living juke box? Go to see the Stones! I've seen them from 1973 till now, 50-60 times? they where no better than in '73, '76, '82.From '90 Urban Jungle tour= commercial. (European Tours) As I said in the Dusseldorf thread, the 2017 version of The Rolling Stones is not the same as the 1972 version, but it doesn't matter. They are st

Quotestone4ever Just to put the record straight, when Keith starts songs like SMU and JJF with a loud opening chord and then a pause, and then he starts the intro properly, IT IS NOT A MISTAKE. He is doing it on purpose. I love it , it brings the crowd on and its exciting. All this BS that Keith was starting Brown Sugar instead of SMU is rubbish. I don't disagree with your overall perspec

Quoteyeababyyea Didn't mean to piss in your cornflakes OK, thanks. Separately, on PaintMonkeyManBlack's review: "Jagger had to work very hard to keep the songs together. I think Jagger is at best when he can focus on himself more." While I agree with the general principle, I thought that Mick did lose himself A LOT at Arnhem! I can rarely remember seeing him i

I actually think that slowing it down has moved it away from the stale Chuck version, this version reminds me more of ZZ Top. syrel PS Love the fact that I post some mildly negative comments after the Stockholm show and get it in the neck, and then get I post enthusiastic comments about the Arnhem show and receive a smug putdown. Gotta love this forum.

Back home now, and still think this was a really fine show. If Dusseldorf was a 9/10, this was a very solid 7 or 8. Some specific comments: - SFTD was amazing, gave me goosebumps all the way through. I generally like this as an opener anyway, but last night was definitely the best one I've heard on this tour. The opening lines gave me a sense that Mick was 'on' last night, and t

Waiting for a train back to the airport so, briefly - a very very good show. Mick in particular on form tonight, but Keith v good too. Mr D was flawless, SSC surprisingly good. Awful sound in the arena but band performance managed to overcome it. Not quite as good as Duss for me, but close. Definitely worth sleeping in an airport for.

I'd say Keith side is about 40% empty at the moment, which seems a bit odd for 8.15. Maybe the Arnhem crowd are late arrivers. Or maybe the Ronnie side is crammed!

QuoteLeonioid This pit stuff I keep reading about seems like bad business.... why make people mad? picture credit- from above ^ from Instagram... That's what i don't get. I'm happy to hear one, but I can't think of a single operational reason that it is helpful. Syrel

Keith pit a go-go! (And, of course, they couldn't check wristbands because we all barged through. I've got myself a nice spot in the corner of the catwalk).

People in the queue for pit Keith are getting very angry. If they wait til the support comes on, there will be a flare up. It's taking far more effort by the security staff than whatever they are saving by keeping it closed!

Does anyone know why they do this odd thing of filling Ronnie's side first, especially if they allow people to move to Keith's side later? I just walked into Ronnie's side and there's a bunch of people just waiting to switch sides. I've come back out and there's a queue blocking a walkway of people waiting for Keith's side to open. It just doesn't make se

Hi Does anyone have any animated videos of any tongue logos, either as small video clips or animated gifs/pngs etc? Looking for something for a small computer project. I'm talking about the kind of thing that gets displayed in big screens at concerts, but it can come from anywhere. The only one I don't need (or want!) is the jumbotron animation of HTW from A Bigger Bang, which was

QuoteBowieStone Indeed syrel, I read that and I completely agree. Chances are high that I would have loved the Düsseldorf gig if I was closer to the stage and even more important: better sound. My god that was really terrible. I rarely witnessed great gigs from the back of an arena or stadium. It's not really a problem in a venue for 5 to 8000 people. Mostly those venues are built for co

QuoteBowieStone QuoteEasterMan Negative reviews by Dean Goodman and (sort of) even BV! Was the show really that bad? A lot has to do with your state of mind, I think. I was bored out of my mind after 1 hour in Düsseldorf while that show got some raving reviews over here. For me that show came after a 3 hours drive and our worst tickets of the tour (general standing). Awful sound, drunken

QuoteGreen Lady Mick takes a regular two song break every show and nobody suggests that it's because he's feeling under the weather. No, because that's what Mick does AT EVERY SHOW, so it is a normal part of the set. Keith sitting down for an extended period is not a normal part of the show, hence me feeling it was something worth raising for people who weren't there (and

Quotestone4ever I think it makes perfect sense for Keith to take a well earned rest and a breather during half of Miss You, if it means as indicated by you, that he plays the second half of the show strong. If he was feeling under the weather (which is just my theory, based on what I saw and heard - others seemed to have heard a much better show than me) then I agree it would make sense fo

Back home in the UK for a day between Stockholm and Arnhem... I don't want to pee on anyone's cornflakes, so I'll make this brief, but I thought it was quite a lacklustre show. Keith seemed really off tonight, starting with a missed cue on his very first solo in Sympathy, and whereas what I loved in Dusseldorf was the level of interaction between Keith and Ronnie, in Stockholm t

Quoteslewan In Düsseldorf it didn't work that well – most people got "Stehplatz Innenraum" (GA standing on the floor). Only very few got No Filter Pit (three or four people before I went through the gates. Thus for me the result is: 2x Pit, 1x Innenraum – not bad for three shows Well that makes me feel even luckier getting the pit in Dusseldorf. I thought not many people seemed
