What is veteran? Over 60? There are some examples in rock/metal where the new albums still become better with later age. Black Sabbath. 13 is a great album. Nick Cave. Love his latest work and collaboration with Warren Ellis. Paradise Lost. They are there since the late 1980's, approaching the age of fifty and I only like their latest 3 albums. Perhaps too obscure...

If the studio rumour is true, then that needs focus. They don't want to prepare a 12 week-tour. Maybe some shows in the summer sun, and a couple arena shows in fall.

The rug is just for stability's sake. The kit needs grip otherwise it starts sliding during a show. And that is extremely annoying. Many bands use "persian" rugs as they look better also after they are sprayed with wood chips from the sticks.

Just saw them do it in Werchter. Fantastic. Angus is a true rock hero. And Axl did a great job. Sympathetic and respectful to the Bon and Brian era's. Between support act and ACDC they played during 30 minutes only Stones songs... Halfway the second time JJF they kicked off. Other songs were SFM, GS, SftD, MR, BS.

I am going to see AC/DC with Axl. Can't help it. As a kid I had a tape with "Apetite..." On side A and "blow up your video" on B. After 100s of autoreverse, the tape was dust. I am so ready to see Axl sing with AC/DC. Would have also loved seeing them with Crhis Barnes of Six Feet Under/Cannibal Corpse who did the whole Back in Black some years ago. Enjoy.
