It would be nice if MNF mixed up the Stones tunes they are using. One Hit is getting the most play. They need to delve deeper into the catalogue.

Apples and oranges. They were both great. Arguably the best at what they each did. Dylan has kept on keeping on with his 'never ending tour' still rolling since the late 1980's while the Stones have been pretty much a reunion outfit in that same time.

Good track. The only VL tunes I can listen to and enjoy now are LIS, the Worst and Thru and Thru. I think that the tunes Richards brought to the table in the late era were almost always better than the Jagger tunes. At least for my tastes. The overt perverseness of many of Jagger's late era contributions were a real turn off for me. "I go wild when I taste your taste" and

I wonder how much Dylan has to do with these releases? There is no mention of them on his official website. They look like bargain bin fodder you can find at Walmart.

Dylan always suggested he was a 'song and dance' man and not a 'protest singer'. Most of his career output supports that assertion. The man is a living legend. I'm looking forward to this release and seeing him again in concert.

Were the Stones included in the music medley? The sportscast I watched mentioned Beatles, Who, Sex Pistols, Queen...

Ugh. I detest that program and all others like it. I've staunchly defended the Stones despite some of the mis-steps that have tarnished their legacy (Beverly Hills 90210 episode, Tommy Hilfiger sponsorship, Biz Markie sample etc.) I could not and would not be able to defend any association with American Idol.

Sweet Black Angel???? Nothing from Exile should be close to this list. The filler from the '90's CD's is the best source of worst Stones songs. Gunface, Suck on the Jugular, Blinded by Rainbows, Blinded by Love (Jagger's worst vocal effort?), Might As Well Get Juiced....terrible. My least favorite Stones song of all time might be "I Go Wild". There are wor

Sway is either most underrated or most unknown. It has always been a favorite of mine, and just last week I heard it in a bar for the first time.

I don't think anything done since '87 is as great as the actual "great" songs they recorded routinely during the golden era of the band. Good songs include... Slipping Away Love is Strong It Won't Take Long You Don't Have to Mean It Don't Stop Saint of Me There are probably a few I'm missing. There are several other passable efforts like Mixed

Voodoo Lounge tour is worthy of a release, IMO. Went to 4 shows. Each performance was strong and the setlists were varied.

I actually prefer Love and Theft to Time Out of Mind. And 'Workingman's Blues' from Modern Times is probably my favorite late-era Dylan song, up there with 'Things Have Changed' from Wonder Boys Soundtrack and 'Not Dark Yet' which is a real tour de force from TOOM. Together Through Life was a step back, IMO. Hopefully this new release will be better.
