Quotestonehearted Sorry to hear that bitusa2012. I was just giving the stone in the grass a seasonal rest, as it is winter here in the Northern Hemisphere, and I like the gray starkness of the present signature, which I grabbed from a German website--perhaps it's the "Germanness" that disturbs you? Ja...perhaps! ;-)

Quotejammingedward I would try to come to Melbourne and hanging rock as well - you could do Monday thru Monday and see 3 shows. I'm sure if you keep looking you will find tix at face value- I have a spare PC1 sydney ticket to sell (no good to you obviously) and may even have a GA Hanging Rock if my friend doesn't want it (I scored Lucky Dip after buying in the pre sale). So there must b

QuoteOzHeavyThrobber Anyone that's not a scalper get tickets to this show? Be easier raising the Buddah from the dead and teaching him to belly dance. THANKFULLY YES. I scored 2 in 207 and friends 4 in 206 and 208. I know 4 people who got lucky dips. But you're correct. I tried for pit tkts on the SECOND of 0900 and allocation exhausted. They are all in the hands of scalpers (incl

Again, and PER THE THREAD TITLE, it's not about the prices per se, it's about the WAY the tickets are (on)sold and the prices THOSE tickets are sold at. Fans are treated poorly by a lottery system by the promoters and band who THEN flog the very same seats with a program and lanyard for &500 extra. It's rubbish. And THIS us from a guy who miraculously pulled two front row seats

Quotebv Do we really have to do this very same discussion every time the Rolling Stones are selling tickets? It has been the same for 40+ years. In 1969 they said the prices were crazy. And every tour since then it has been the same. This is not new to anybody. We are just getting older. It's not the prices, it's the methodology. Resellers of this size and internet versus queuing have

QuoteGazza Quotebv 2. As a matter of facts, all the scalpers will be stuck with the expensive tickets on show day, and they will beg you on their knees to buy their extra scalped tickets at face value and below. This is all true and is something I've been saying for ages. However, it doesnt address the fact that a) most would be customers dont realise this when they log in to buy ti

QuoteHis Majesty Quotebitusa2012 Winter is a stunner More like a minger! Shite lyrics, weak melody, too much fake manerism from Jagger, lighters in the air moments with the cheesey guitar soloing. Gadz. A cheap combination of Moonlight Mile and YCAGWYW. Nup. A stunner. Complements Coming Down Again absolutely perfectly.

Quotebv I hope I can make it to Perth. It is a long travel, and it would be the first time for me. On my past Australia travels I have barely seen the country. This time I hope I can do a little bit more than wine tasting in Melbourne, holding a wombat and watching kangoroos jumping around in a park. And Phillip Island little marching penguins at night, that was probably my highlight of past Aust

QuoteGazza QuoteHighwire.uk I don't think Bill will ever tour with the band again but I think The Stones are missing a chance to make a a new album with Bill & Mick Taylor .if Mick & Keith have the songs why not ASK Bill and Mick T to get into the studio in UK where they live. Tell Mr Jones to take a rest till show time.I'm sure he won't mind after all he will be well paid.

The new Busby Marou album Farewell Fitzroy. Pure POP bliss from a local Perth band (Rockingham actually), recorded in Nashville. Just wonderfully constructed simple pop songs with beautiful harmonies. IDEAL summer music!

I don't care who wrote it/wrote parts of it I don't care who plays on it/plays on parts of it It APPEARS as the final track on the greatest RnR album ever, IMHO. It IS the best album closer of all. SO DARING, so original, so un-Stones-like, YET somehow, SO STONES-LIKE. Absolutely a stunner. A masterpiece. Vivid lyrically, sweeping in its musicality thanks in part to those maje

Ai, its a beautiful city ... but for all visitors, there are major MAJOR capital works going on at the eastern end of the city (just before the bridge to the airport) and also IN the main city area near the river (Elizabeth Quay project). All these works mean that TRAFFIC in and around the city is a nightmare. Wellington St (where Perth Arena, the venue The Stones are playing) is also having work
