Quote24FPS QuoteNilsHolgersson Quote24FPS QuoteNilsHolgersson The worst filmed: Leeds 1982 That's because it wasn't really filmed. It was just screen shots from the in stadium video monitors. Yeah but they sold it as a bluray concert film Well, it's much better than nothing. I thought with all the crappy bootlegs over the years that a decent film of the '75 Tour didn

Quoteryanpow QuoteNilsHolgersson I like Let's Spend the Night Together, it's filmed beautifully and Mick's very energetic in his football pants I agree, I think this is the best filmed. It looks amazing and I like the camera work. I also like the sound mix. Downsides: Sped up tape and truncated/missing songs. It's kind of a toss-up. The speed-up always bothered

Link Wray is not in the R & R Hall Of Fame. Willy DeVille is not the R & R Hall Of Fame. Little Walter was inducted as a "sideman" (an unbelievable insult). I guess the Pistols were right.

QuoteSpodlumt Ditch "Hold Back," "Winning Ugly," "Back To Zero" and "Too Rude," and replace with "Nobody's Perfect," "Strictly Memphis," "Putty In Your Hands and "I Can't See No One Else," and you have a great album. Three covers, but no turkeys. My two cents... "Dirty Work" as released in 1986 is my fa

Quote24FPS Finished the four part HBO series on Woody Allen versus Mia Farrow. It appears he did molest their seven year old daughter. I can't watch his films now without his abhorrent behavior coloring my perception of him, and his work. Some of his work reveals his predilection for underage girls, not necessarily children. As often occurs with rich, privileged, celebrities, Allen got away

Quotewelshphil Do you mean if there's a DVD of show , the footage will be different? They only have the feed from the stage video screens, so it's on both Bluray and DVD. But since it's the last show with Ian Stewart, we should be glad there is a film at all.

I think the "Pristine" release sounds horrible (excessive use of noise reduction, added echo, even a fake "stereo" mix). The official "Centennial Collection" from 2011 is much better. It was taken from original discs and/or metal parts that public domain labels like Pristine do not have access to in Johnson's case.

Quotejbwelda Thanks for the tip on The Centennial Collection/The Complete Recordings, I have the 96 issue of Complete Recordings but if this is an upgrade I am all for it. Cheap too, under 14 with shipping at Amazon. jb I used to have the 1990 version – terrible sound. The 1996 version is a little bit better, but The Centennial Collection from 2011 blows them all out of the water. It's

QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteslewan QuoteGasLightStreet Releasing music on YouTube counts as publishing but it's not exactly commercial use - it's different than printing a million copies of a book, putting them in stores etc and no one buys one. I pointed that aspect out somewhere above. And I doubt that putting stuff on youtube for free (and just for some 1,5 days) counts as commercial

In my opinion Dylan's 1984 European Tour features Mick Taylor's best work ever. I also like his work on the 1969 US Tour with the Rolling Stones, but I'm not that fond of his early 1970s playing. In the early 1970s he used the songs to show off his guitar playing – with Dylan his playing was much more mature and he used his guitar playing to show off the songs.
