Shake 'em On Down – Mississippi Fred McDowell: Does anybody know which version? Since the whole album seems to be a tribute to the blues music Mick listened to in the late 1950s/early 1960s, "Shake 'em On Down" could be based on McDowell's 1959 version on "Roots Of The Blues – Southern Folk Heritage Series" (Atlantic Atlantic SD-1348, released in 1960), which

I really like Mick's unreleased 1992 blues album. Do any of you know which versions of those songs Mick used as his models/sources? Here are the ones I can identify: Shake 'em On Down – ? Talk To Me Baby – Elmore James Mean Old World – Little Walter Checkin' Up On My Baby – Sonny Boy Williamson II (?) / Junior Wells (?) Ain't Your Business – Slim Harpo You Better Watch

Thank you for your kind words. I have always liked the Hyde Park show and it's sad that this important show was never documented properly on official releases. When assembling this version, I used the SODD 015 CD as my basis. I added missing elements from PARK 08 (speed-corrected), LL 032 and SCORPIO. I added some Mick talk from the watchit version (I speed/pitch-corrected the watchit elemen

Does anybody have Mick's announcements before Mercy Mercy, Love In Vain and Loving Cup so I can compare them to what I have and insert any missing pieces into my version? Also where can I find a better quality audience recording of I'm Yours And I'm Hers?

I checked out "Satisfaction Guaranteed" 5 CDs VGP 378 – the version of Chicago on those CDs is much better (lower generation) than the version of Chicago I have (from Tight Dresses And Tampax). Best 1978 audience tape I have heard so far! Thanks for pointing out that set! Buffalo is pretty cool, too!

The fact that there isn't a complete version of the Hyde Park show (I do not have the version from the other thread) has bugged me for years. So I put this together. Some parts exist in better quality, but this collects all the bits and pieces available to me. And – as far as I know – it's all in the correct order and at the correct speed. The only obvious cuts that still remain occur i

Yeah, I used the audience recording to complete I'm Yours And I'm Hers (the middle part is missing on the soundboard). On the audience recording of Satisfaction the start is cut, so I fixed that with the "Gimme Shelter" bit. Back in the day tapers often switched off their tape recorders between songs to save on batteries. I think that's why the start of Satisfaction is

What are your recommendations for best audience recording from 1978 (complete shows)? I have Fort Worth, so I guess I have the soundboards sorted out. But what's a good quality 1978 audience recording? I have Philadelphia, but Mick was suffering from a cold at that show, which affects his voice. I also have Chicago, but the recording has weird fluctuations in sound, which sound like a defect

Hi, I'm new here. This is my version of the Hyde Park show compiled from multiple sources. Enjoy. The Rolling Stones London (Hyde Park) July 5, 1969 This is my attempt to compile a complete-as-can-be recording of the Hyde Park show. All songs in their entirety and in the correct order. As much of Mick Jagger's onstage talk as possible (and in the correct place). CD 1: 01. in
