Quotemelillo its better than ABB IMO Depends on music taste - if you like softer music, then U2 is ok. If you don't like softer music / pop - then it is Stones. To me ABB is way better. Probably the same with Beatles vs. Stones etc.

QuoteThatsWhatISay Records put aside, even U2 acknowledge that the Stones are the greatest. They also know that in the end of the day, no matter how many 90.000 seaters they fill, the Stones are musicial legends and they are not. Exactly - couldn't be said better.

Some Beatles fans here would probably also rewrite the history stating that Beatles influenced: Buddy Holly, Elvis, Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bill Haley. To say - The Beatles where The Bridge from old to modern music. Come on, Beatles where are a part of a continuous stream of music developement. Remember, it was also in the 50'ies / 60'ies you had the spread of we

QuoteErik_Snow You Should Have Seen Her Ass should be added to the list - great groove on that one. All in all, there's VERY few unreleased songs from the Taylor era available - way more to choose from, from the Some Girls to Undercover era...that's where most studio-bootleg-nuggets is at Indeed a great song:

QuotePapo mtaylor, you don't have a clue...seriously... that "crowd pleaser band" just dropped "Pride" from their setlist... Don't have clue - listen to their music "easy going soft rock music" - no challenge as a such. Easy going rythm, where the audience can stand and sing along like a tralalala - where people / couple can stand hand in hand, look

U2 has turned in to a crowd pleaser band that mostly plays soft rock songs. This is also refleceted in the last CDs where most songs are easygoing soft rock songs / ballads. And that's what the majority of the audience nowadays wants. I don't know if we would like a Stones CD with 10 Angie similar songs - I wouldn't. I don't know if we would like a Stones tour with 20 An

Quoteslew This ain't a bad version No bad version, but prefer Stones in whatever way - a very slow / boring version. Mick's singing is way better, the dynamic in Stones versions is way better. Stones formula is: never play the same song in the same way. Compared to Bruce - it is still not Las Vegas time yet.

The only reason not to do so is: If it means that they will play in small venues and the Stones only want to play in big ones. I make it a point to see Buddy in Legends every January--where he blows the doors off the joi

His consert guitar playing gets "stiff" / "bad" because he at the same time both wants to sing, act, gesticulate, dance, run, fool around.... etc. - that is his problem. In studio he plays quite good - just as well as many other lead / rythm guitarists in leading bands (probably at the same level as fx. The Edge). His ability to play guitar is by now probably also way b

Quote Undercover is sticking by the absolute truth of the story until Charlie Watts himself denies it. This is ridiculous: then you can create any story about any person an continue doing so just stating it is true until the related person denies it. Then I can say: Undercover has been paid to publish this history by some mean people who want to undermine Stones. Or Undercover is an anti Ston
