QuoteTopi They opened another window but that only happened after 8 PM. Way too late. They also closed it when the concert started, despite there still being a long queue. Luckily, the people in the original queue were relaxed about letting people from the closed counter line slot in.

QuoteIrix The forecast on says currently also a lot of rain. Hopefully they're wrong .... Yesterday, their forecast was 30 degrees and sunshine. Unless there is a very stable weather situation, forecasts are very unreliable more than three of four days in advance.

Quote2120Joe Would those of you famaliar with Munich please expand on logistics for us visitors. What area to stay for 5 nights, what to see, how to get to/from show. I'm excited to add this stop with my son to the shows I will make this year. We prefer to walk whenever possible and want to stay in a safe, fun part of the city. Thank you in advance! I'd aim for somewhere in Schwabing

QuoteBig Al I’m straying the subject matter a little, but I wonder if any of their guitars used during the tours of the 1970’s and 80’s are used on stage, today? A few have still recently been in use, e.g. Micawber and Malcolm (blond Teles - as everyone no doubt knows...), Dice (TV yellow LP Jr,), Sonny (Sunburst Tele), Keith's black '75 Custom Tele, Ronnie's '55 hardtail St

S.African doctor says patients with Omicron variant have "very mild" symptoms Reuters PROMIT MUKHERJEE Increased contagiousness combined with a (significantly) reduced severity could indeed be good news, if it means that a large number of people catch the infection without serious consequences and are subsequently immune - i.e. herd immunity can be

Interesting to see Keith playing a Firebird V and Mick T an SG (can't see for sure whether it's the one with the Bigsby). Neither were played on stage during that tour or subsequently, as far as I know.

Many excellent tributes posted in this thread. Here's another one, from Warren Haynes: Charlie Watts was the heartbeat of Rock & Roll. No one provided more backbeat, rhythm, personality, and style to Rock & Roll music, and he continued to do so for almost 60 years. I have near-visual memories of being in my bedroom, nine years old, and listening to the single of "Honky Tonk W

Quotestevecardi QuoteTaylor1 Nothing could top the 1972 performance from Ft Worth on the Ladies and Gentlemen movie. Taylor's blues solos are as great as any on recordvideo: I think the version in L&G is from Houston. But that said, if I had to choose my all-time favorite version of LIV, it's a tie between the two Fort Worth shows on the 1972 tour. They're m

Very sad news. It was worth seeing (or hearing...) ZZ Top live for the sound of Dusty's bass alone. They also supported the Stones in '81 and AFAIK on one of the later tours.

QuoteSonofHarlemShuffler Getting my second jab soon. I am SO glad the UK left the EU. The UK's course of action would have also been possible if it had not left the EU (albeit maybe politically less straightforward). Overall, the UK hasn't been the best place to be over the course of the pandemic (again not a result of leaving the EU), although it has certainly got its vaccination

I think the ranking has its merits, especially if one disregards the ranking attributed to ABB. Including some but not all compilations and live albums (to the extent practicable) may not be fully logical or consistent, but the Top 10 ranking including - arguably - the best of these does give a good overview of the Stones at their peak.
