QuoteIrix QuoteAdams Do they usually tell such details as artist name in casting ads? The Film & TV casting already deleted their March 17th post from and . Could be a bait for us like the local newspaper ad for HD. Or it could be a casting blunder, but I doubt it. The agency is experienced. And the casting call is legit. I’m not so worried about the post-production workflow s

Here is the content from a DVD-ROM I purchased about a decade ago. It’s a collection of all Rolling Stones material published in the German magazine BRAVO between 1964 and 1997. I did not do the scans or compile the collection myself, so I don’t know whether anything is missing. I originally bought the DVD-ROM to access the report that BRAVO journalist Thomas Beyl wrote from Villa Nellcote in

Again, much appreciated, Glimmerman, a treasure! For research purposes, I did a side-by-side analysis of the released track (‘Following the River’) and the backing track (‘Wally’s Whistling…’). The released track is a very straightforward edit of ‘Wally’s’, which runs almost a minute longer. There are quantisation issues throughout, seemingly to keep the released track steady. . Anywa

Again, thank you Glimmerman for this most excellent upload. Truly a treassure. I took advantage of a heavy caffeine rush this morning to dvelwe into the comment made by Gotdablouse and NedFlanders above - about the similarities between Pommes de Terre and Following the River. I mean, out of the gate it is evident they are different recordings, yet parallel compositions created in the same crea

Quick New Year’s update! The French version of The Nellcote Chronicles is now available for French-speaking fans in North America, sold online by Librairie Resonance in Montreal: . Thank you to SomeTorontoGirl for help setting it up! Thank you to everyone who came to the gallery opening this weekend. Wow — what fun it was to meet so many IORRs, several of whom had travelled a long way to be there. I have no idea whether I’m allowed to post photos of you lovely guys and gals, so here are a few images of some of the items instead: original Stones lyrics, the Nellcote plaque, the Lego house, and a handful of relics from the a

Quotededospegajosos Quoteexilestones What is going on in the background during Crazy Mama in the new mix? Is there another guitar that has been unearthed? You mean during de last part, on the left side? Like a sort of bass? Yeah, great little part there. Hadnt noticed it before, or at least completely forgotten about it if its on the earlier versions. Sounds like a bass register thing, play

@gotdablouse: I am waiting for confirmation on the event in Paris. I think first or second weekend in December, but its up to a third party. Will post the date here, and hope to see you! @liddas: Regarding your question about whether I went back to the original French documents: the main narrative (the parts originally written in English) was just translated into French. Quotebv Review of the new and extended French book: Les Curieuses Chroniques de la Villa Nellcote by Geir Hørnes Review by Bjornulf Vik, IORR Editor November 3, 2025 Thanks, Bjornulf, for taking the time to read and review the French edition — I’m truly honoured. This research and the new material would not have been possible without your help and the support of the IORR community.

The title ‘Old Glory’ comes up in the Allen Klein arbitration documents and in the correspondence exchanged between Prince Rupert, Stones attorney Paddy Grafton-Green, and Trevor Churchill, the European label manager of Rolling Stones Records. Among these letters, one explains that Old Glory is in fact on Exile, just listed under a different title. Another document dates the original recording

QuoteMathijs QuoteRobberBride Did they record beyond that date? We’ve seen hints they might have—but nothing conclusive. If anyone out there can dig up the Mobile’s booking records… we might finally pin down the true endpoint. Anyone? And what a fantastic book the French 'The Nellcote Chronicles' has become! I am enjoying it thoroughly, and impriving my French along the way!

QuoteTravelinMan QuoteMathijs QuoteChristiaan Another question. Where comes the great song Plundered My Soul from. I can‘t find any bootlegs which sound like that song. Nothing with words, but also not the music. Not that I know or have all the bootlegs of course…. It has the exact guitar and drum sound as Tumbling Dice, so likely from Nellcote 1971. Mathijs Yes, this sounds right to me.

The Clapton image is from la Salle de Sejour at Nellcote. Its from May 13th or 14th 1971. It has been identified as Clapton by Dominique Tarle who shot it, but I agree its a bit odd perspective. However, Tarle has two other shots of Clapton the day before, in St Tropez on Jaggers wedding, with the same haircut and beard. Want to congratulate steffiestones for creating such a fun/nerdy dete

I am still positive it will happen. In my mind, the RACKET gig is the ending of the documentary, the culmination of all the great things it will contain; some writing (?), the recording, the excitement of the London release, a bit of rehearsal (?) and the crowd going wild at the Racket gig. Sure, it would have been logical to release it together with the live CD but the album hit a second
