I think this is why Toronto keeps getting skipped over.We have a downtown stadium but not NFL sized. Otherwise back to cottage country in the middle of nowhere. But sure why not Boston too.

Would have been the location to perform Dreamy Skies but maybe it wasn't rehearsed. Santa Clara had the setlist for a tour finale.

They will be back. They still have another album to do.

The floor area looks very small compared to the NFL stadiums. The majority of the venue is on the grassy hill.

They should play 2-3 of those given the location.

This show was definitely treated like a tour finally with the setlist. It will be interesting to see how they approach Thunder Ridge.

I think some of it has to do with the time zones. The shows in the east seem to generate a lot of buzz and live reports and photos etc. I thought there would have been more songs from the new album played live but the Stones have a formula that they don't deviate from other than Keith playing three songs that no one would have predicted going into the start of the tour.

That captures a hot LA night. Not a bad design.

With all the natural scenery and landmarks I am surprised that is what they landed on..

I think the highlight of this concert will be if the stones design a Bass Pro trucker cap with the tongue logo on the bass's mouth.

That could be the case. Everyone wanted more than one Keith song now three has upset the balance. It's almost like a Wino's mini set with Jordan on the drums.

If this was it they would have played another 6-8 cities and the tour would have went into August. Not sure how final North American stop causes so much confusion.

Maybe it will be a handful of people standing in a field watching. Everyone clamors for the Stones to play live but are scared off by the remoteness and challenges of getting there.(I doubt it though lol)

Quotebabyblue Oh really why don’t they add a Canadian date like Edmonton, Toronto or Winnipeg Toronto could have sold out multiple dates like Chicago. Make it truly a North American tour with more than 1 Canadian stop. The Dome renovations are long completed. Go back to Downsview if needed. The venue in Missouri does look good. The suite sections will be a treat if these are offered as Dip

It's funny, if you keep pushing 72/ Taylor era, the narrative and focus shifts away from the purpose of this thread. The El Mocambo release is fantastic plain and simple. Everyone who is a Stone's fan loves it. The best release in a long time hands down.

Definitely a crown jewel of their releases and fitting for their sixtieth anniversary. Captures the rich history the band has with Toronto.

For me it's the side screens. The shape of them seems off with the border and cladding. I do like the openness of the tongue and it's silhouette. The stage does come to life at night. Maybe they will adjust the sides for other legs of the tour.

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuotePalaisRoyale The staff at Unzipped Kitchener are saying the next Canadian stop is Winnipeg Manitoba. Wow - any idea when? Or…why? (Not that we’re bitter or nothing…) Whether it goes directly there next or is the next stop for Canada is to be determined but that is what I was told today when I was at Unzipped.
