QuoteThe Sicilian For the last few tours "Honky Tonk Woman" was the start of the their encore. That song usually showed up around 9 to 11 in the setlist. The ubiquitous clinking of the cowbell by Charlie signified that for the hard core fan of the Stones, the show was over. More than just "over".... I was at a show a long time back, and was sitting immediately behind some

Quotefranzk Some previously unseen footage will be included in the new "Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg" movie released this may. This include the famous vacation that Mick, Keith, Marianne and Anita went together by ship across the Atlantic Ocean . See the clips below. So, a glimmer of hope that we'll see some rare stuff!!

QuoteGreen Lady ) Take a look at the chart details on Wikipedia. The Chris Farlowe version of Out Of Time was No.1 in the UK and made the top 20 in several other countries, but never got above no.122 in the USA. The Stones version wasn't a single at all. Mick's right: most of them don't know it, so if it keeps falling flat I wouldn't be surprised to see it dropped.

Quotefrankotero Lot of people have been clamoring over this for many years. Maybe it's the disharmony they enjoy seeing? Anyway, I'm a big fan and the only part of this film I ever cared about was the Rooftop Concert. In my opinion they should concentrate on this as a full audio/video release more than the original film. Leave that to folklore. Agreed. I'd much prefer Peter Ja

QuoteRisingStone Looks like a near definitive, run through version. The selections from HD — Angry, WWW, TMS and SSOH — are exactly the same as my prediction. Agreed! They go offstage after Jumping Jack Flash, and then regroup and come back on with whoever the guest is to sing on Sweet Sounds of Heaven.

Quote1963luca0 Italian Tg1 has shown a short clip of Paul McCartney, Ron Wood on guitar and the new Lennon/ McCartney duo in a recording studio. Two sons of John and Paul will soon release the track, according to the Italian news. Too soon... Here's the track And here's some Twitter, formerly known as X Frankly, this weirds me out completely.

QuoteRockman Butlin Butlin's It was a chain of inexpensive holiday camps that were popular in the 1950s and 1960s in the UK. Enthusiastic entertainers were a hallmark. And they wore red coats. Ultra nerds will know that when The Beatles sacked Pete Best Lennon & McCartney went off to get Ringo from a residency he had with his then band.... playing in a Butlin's Holiday

Very interesting description there! ("Redcoat"). And I mean interesting in a jolly good way! Having been brought up in the UK in the 1960's I know what it m

QuoteDan Then I went to the 2015 location. The problem is it's a very deep complex on a major street. It goes back at least 2 football fields from the main gate. Can't hear anything. I suspect this may be the one but just not much I can do. Spent like 5 minutes in the vicinity and went home. Not a very comfortable spot to just hang out. I only care if I can hear. That's the goal but how does get from one city to another when there are back to back shows? I'd not spotted any back to back shows on recent Rolling Stones tours?

RIP indeed. :-( When "Judy Teen" was released and then the band got to appear on TOTP a then good friend of mine was included as the "pretty girl" acting the rostrum with the band as if she was indeed Judy Teen. TOTP was pre-recorded, so the next evening we were able to sit in her flat and watch her on TV watching her reaction to being on TOTP. Quite fun. (We then all

I believe that's from 11th Sept 1966 Ed Sullivan. It seems to have had the original soundtrack (qv) replaced with an album track. Originally there was quite a lot of audience screaming at the start. (Of course, the audience screaming version could be the one that was modified, and this one is the 'original')! (Edited to correct date typo).

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Taylor does a lot of charitable events/things as well. Many of them are on the down-low. Doesn't make her any less of a person because of it. I agree with the frenzy that surrounded MJ - like I said, he is probably the closest to her in terms of popularity and all of that. I've just finished reading a 550+ page book called "1963 : The Beatles". It&#

Quotefrankotero Audacity, have fun. Audacity is the product many (other) people use, so that has to be a good/valid recommendation. I though use an equivalent product called 'Goldwave'. BOTH have a learning curve. :-) I selected Goldwave (a long time back) largely because it has a -try-before-you-buy policy. You can use it for (I think) 40 edits before you have to pay. (I

QuoteThe Joker Is the single "all aright" on ya ya a pure effect of post-production to make it sound more commmercial? Strange question. Making it sound more commercial has been the entire point of the last 60 years' output! eg Why else would you have multiple coloured versions of a new album as they have done with HD?

I think the video is a mess. The bit where "he" is dancing around (for no real obvious reason) reminded me of the thoroughly pointless dancing around done by Sydney Sweeney that ruins the "Angry" video.
