Saw the Boston show and I absolutely agree with your review. Musicianship is top notch and the setlist is fantastic. Nick Mason is obviously having a lot of fun with this. For any fan of early Floyd this show is a must see! I have a videos of a few songs which I will post on YouTube soon.

I am staying in Liverpool for a couple of days after the show. Friday night, June 10, Elvis Costello & The Imposters are playing at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. I couldn't pass up the chance to him in Liverpool. The Philharmonic Hall website would not let me purchase just one ticket (there were only two seats left, fifth row from stage) so I had to buy the pair. If anyone is interest

20 shows so far, beginning in 1989. Best show, without a doubt, was the Roseland Ballroom in 2002. That one was absolutely incredible.

I don't really listen to Green Day, but I do love the album they put out under the name Foxboro Hot Tubs. An excellent tribute to 60's rock!

I just gave a close listen to the first couple of minutes of Fast Walking, Slow Walking. For comparison I used the recent Fully Finished Studio Outtakes version and the version from "Fast Talking" VGP 237. I think they are two different takes. Charlie's drums are different during the part where Mick sings, "Ain't it hard to find a guy through this life at all" (H

Here's my two cents: In the middle I am fairly certain he is saying "Make me rhythm' (he is adopting a faux-jamaican accent, giving make two syllables and pronouncing rhythm as "riddim") referring to just the bass and percussion taking over the song for a moment, which is a feature of dub versions in reggae music. At the end it sounds to me like he says, "Bad I

I believe Irix is correct, the different letters refer to pressing plants. The image on this page shows one with the letters SP after it: I believe I have one of these promos somewhere, but don't know what the letters are on the label. If I can dig it out, I'll let you know what it has.

I thought the movie was good, but as soon as I heard Little T&A I thought, "Nope. Way too early for that song." They should have used Before They Make Me Run.

Quotejohn lomax I hate it. Had to turn it off midway. That drumbeat is imbecilic and totally ruins the feel and soul of the song. Sounds like the sort of crap my 12 year old plays on his keyboard. I'm with you on this one. Overall, Scarlet hasn't really impressed me. It's a good jam, but there's no signature riff really. For me, Charlie's drums do a lot for the feel o

Howdy, everyone! I have a couple of song series going on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. One is Social Distancing Song Series, where I post a song everyday. So far they are all covers. From the Stones, I have done She Smiled Sweetly. I'm trying not to repeat bands for as long as possible in this series. However, some people made requests so I started another series called Social

One track I was hoping might appear on this set was the "Rip This Joint" early version with Keith on vocals. But it's listed as an unverified track on Nico's site so it may not even exist. Would have been nice though...

I was talking about the soft touches, like how She's So Cold is actually a very subtle song. Live they just carpet bomb through it. agreed. They go at it like a freight train. I like the original tempo much better.

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteWorriedAboutYou QuoteHouseBoyKnows This post has got to be an attempt at humor or worse, simply a troll. Me? I'd rather look at old classic Playboy magazines than make love to a beautiful woman. It's just a different opinion. I love the Stones on record but live they don't do it for me. I hope that makes it clear for you. There may be an element to wha

First came across this track on the Claudine bootleg, which has always been one of my favorite boots. Fell in love with this tune and was so happy to see it get an official release. Mick's vamp at the end is great.

I would say these are probably my top three records: England's Newest Hitmakers - White Label Promo w/ Photo in excellent condition Aftermath - Decca "Shadow Cover" Songs of the Rolling Stones - ABKCO Promo only album (2nd Cover) The one that got away: Keith's guitar pick at Roseland Ballroom. He threw one which bounced off my glasses!
