Heavy news! Rest in peace, Sly! I've seen him live in 2007 at North Sea Jazz festival. Glad that I did. A true legend!

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteDiamondDog7 His Majesty, Could you tell me which tracks Brian Jones played on Beggars Banquet, please? This is so unclear to me. Some say he only played on some tracks and wasn't at the recording sessions that much. And others say he played on almost everything on that album...? This is my findings: All open to change if or when information is found which s

Quotebakersfield This is the album I've been hoping they would revisit. They don't need to alter anything about the sound of the record but‘Let's Do It Right’ a.k.a ‘Come on Sugar’ would be fantastic to hear in Black and Blue quality, and there must be plenty more lurking on tape. I wasn't aware of ‘Built that Way’ until it turned out upon the Fully Finished Outtakes leak, so

QuoteTheflyingDutchman Mick Taylor saw this band live at the time, staying in the same Hotel. He instantly became a fan. Paganini on Violin. Awesome! Didn't know that. I'm also a huge fan the Mahavishnu Orchestra!! Correction; John McLaughlin - guitar Billy Cobham - drums Rick Laird - bass Jan Hammer - elec. keyboard, synth Jerry Goodman - violin (not Paganini)

QuoteMathijs The source is not the Brian Jones Resource. It's from the Catching Fire documentary about Anita Pallenberg. Mathijs You're right. I meant, I've found it on The Brian Jones Resource, and the original credits goes to Catching Fire doc.

Quoteslakka Not understanding Mick Taylors silence. Not everyone needs to respond in public or in social media. We need tor respect that. Plus, MT is not the kind of person who shows himself on socia media channel to talk about former band mates.

Quotefrankotero I also enjoy the excitement of new music but no way I would consider Hackney Diamonds to be on the same level as any of the classic albums. I would consider Dirty Work over Hackney. Just my opinion of course. I agree. I'm glad the Stones are still excited to produce a new album, but it's not on a same level as the classic albums. Totally not. But hey, that's fi

Quotemosthigh QuoteStoneZP For many fans "Santa Monica" is a "Holy Grail". Let's hope a complete quality video appears because it is very welcome, such as this one: There's rumours of one or two pro-filmed shows from June '74 at MSG in NYC on the Diamond Dogs tour. Supposedly it's in the Mainman vault, or whoever owns it now (maybe his son Duncan?

Perfect song for a potential new Martin Scorcese movie. ;-) Back to the song; I'm not a fan of new Stones material! Angry and Living in a Ghost Song aren't that great and rather cliché Stones riffs and lyrics. And Jagger is forcing his vocals in a way I don't like. But hey, that's me. BUT...this track suprises me in a good way. It really reminds me of Let it Loose an

Quotepeoplewitheyes Am I allowed to do this? Both much-loved tracks, but which is your favourite? Mine is definitely Angry, I prefer its overall sound, the messy mass of guitars, vocals and handclaps in the second half, and that grungy bass. What do you think? Neither.

Jeff Beck was a huge John McLaughlin fan! He admired him and was truly inspired by him. John's playing is a little bit different today than in the 1970s. Less frantic and loud unfortunately. But he's still a god to me! His performance was awesome!
