I think the best versions of "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "Angie" are here. Arguably, "Angie" from King Biscuit Flower Hour (Brussels Affair) could be the best. One great thing about Stars in the Sky is that it doesn't duplicate The King Biscuit material. If you like this then check out Boss Hawg's "Missing Links" which also

Written by Johnny Marks and Marvin Brodie, and most famously performed by Chuck Berry, Keith's cover of "Run Rudolph Run" was originally released on Rolling Stones Records, with a B-Side of Jimmy Cliffs "The Harder They Come". The single was re-released in 2007 by iTunes, under the Mindless Records imprint. This time the song was bundled with a previously unrelease

Notes: A great little bar band led by Mr. Wood. He surrounds himself with many familiaer names and faces and produces a fun set of tunes to kill time until the next Stones project. The track "Seven Days" was at that time an unreleased Bob Dylan tune and was a bit of a bonus. The big draw for me at the time was the art of Ron adorning not only the covers, but the i

"Gimme Some Neck", the title of Ron Wood's third solo album from 1976, refers not to any vampiric tendencies on the ace guitarist's part but rather to his exuberant attitude towards playing anything with four or more strings. Give this man enough neck and you're liable to wind up with a pair of terminally scrambled frontal lobes. Ron Wood responded to the challenge of

IORR - Seven Days GIMME SOME NECK Review by William Ruhlmann Wood leads a pickup band that includes, on various cuts, fellow Rolling Stones Charlie Watts, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards, plus Mick Fleetwood, Dave Mason, and other notables. The highlight is a then-unreleased Bob Dylan song called "Seven Days," where the rough-voiced Wood sounds uncannily like Mr. D hims

It's a great album. "Buried Alive" is the best song on it. I love Jagger's vocals at the end of the song which shows how intense his vocals are. "Lost and Lonely" is another great one! "Seven Days" is probably the most popular song on the album. Bob Dylan wrote it and gave it to Ron. I forget the story (maybe somebody here knows). I think Ron recorded

I've had no problem with speed using FF. I've downloaded an amazing amount of files from the Stones Vault in a short period of time. I think it may be your Internet service provider cutting your speed. Call and ask them about the problem.

I hear instruments much more separated or pronounced. Oh, that… Sure they sound different. It is usual case for the compilations. They are trying to put everything on the same page. But the

QuoteWinning Ugly VXII Be careful, though. The same .m4a container is also used for the lossy AAC format. ( The same container but 2 different formats. ) Good point. Just because .m4a or flac format is used doesn't necessarily mean it is high quality. As Winning Ugly VII pointed out. "flac" and ".m4a" are only 'containers' and could contain any quality music.

You are looking for December 19th, 2nd show. I haven't seen it in mp3. It's in the Stones Vault (probably flac format) "Hampton at Last DAC-136." Marko did a nice upgrade of this show too. It maybe available in mp3 at Wolfgang's Vault.

There were several shows mentioned. I couldn't remember which others. I was surprised Atlantic City 1989 was not on the list. The Bob Cleamountain mix of this show is fantastic as we heard on the Fox 3-D and VH1 Rebroadcast.

If you want higher quality than MP3 convert to Apple's ALAC (m4a) format with "AVS Audio Converter." I'll upload some files that I coverted to ALAC (m4a).

The Rolling Stones Concert Archive Directory just started and already it was a very valuable resource for me! I went to the directory and not only was there information that I wanted but links to download the audio and video! WOW! I don't remember it being a rehear
