I've been researching this topic. The main problem seems to be that it's not easy to remove hardcoded subtitles. I haven't found a succesful method or online site so far. Does anybody know how to, or are hardcoded subs truly embedded in the video?

That's a really good post, thanks. I'll enjoy looking through them all. BTW, for anyone with a problem handling the names, simply add ".pdf" to the end of the file name to enable opening in Acrobat Reader.
