<<In my memory they played it without saxophone only once since 1978, at the press conference at Julliard's in 2005. Any other occasions?>> marco, they did a few sax-less gigs in '81. Lee Allen did not get on board until the fourth gig or so. Ronnie handled the Brown Sugar solo prior to that

There wasn't that much Keith in it. An anecdote on being in the studio with Toots To me it seemed like the Keith bit were filmed at the same time and place as his part for that short Wingless Angels doc

<<Any comments by the band on who played organ on this song!? Stu, Brian, Jack!? I reckon it's Stu!?>> Not a band-member comment; but Keith Altham seems to have been pretty well informed in those days and according to his NME review of Aftermath it is indeed Stu on organ

Kent, you can get it at amazon.com. I've also seen it at cdon.dk. However at three times the price listed at amazon.com - in fact even if you end up having to pay import duty, the amazon alternative will only be marginally more expensive[5-10kr by my calcs] than cdon's offer

<<Looks like Jagger tried very hard to get rid of honest Ron>> If you read the interview Stu gave to Lisa Robinson at the end of tota, you'll find that it was Mick who insisted on having Ronnie on board Not sure where you got the 'slapping'-affair from. It's not mentioned in Flippo's book - and he was basically the only eye witness to the final rehe

with sssoul, I quoted Barbara Charone, who was there on both nights and wrote an article on it in Sounds Mag. She attended the band rehearsing as well; in addition to the songs already mentioned in the setlists on Nico's site they were rehearsing Memory Motel and Everybody Needs Somebody To Love. There's no mention of Worried Life Blues being played though ...wanna read the whole

<<Sohoe, I can't remember now which night it was! I think it might have been the first night but I'm not sure.>> Marmalade, if you can remember the stage clothes we can identify which one you attended The first night Mick wore a blue jean jacket and t-shirt, Ronnie was sporting an El Mocambo t-shirt and Keith wore a red beret. Mick wore a jump suit the second night

I thought it was just Keith, Ronnie and Charlie messing about in the studio -- it was certainly released under the Keith Richards label>> Potbanger, there's an old Keith interview from a french mag ca '79 , in which Keith goes into a bit of detail on the Rudolph/htc single; apparently it's Keith on guitar and bass, Stu on piano and

Soul Revolution II is the instrumentals As you mentioned, some vol II's includes the Upsetter Revolution Rhythm title as well However; SR I was often issued in SR Part II sleeves - my lp is in a vol II sleeve Also you can more or less swap Soul Revolution for African Herbsman as the latter contains all the tracks except Memphis and includes four or five tracks that aren't on SR I
