from a sociologist's point of view I'd like to point out that "camaraderie" is not necessarily a "real" personal relationship (like love or friendship for example) but rather a relationship/feeling inside a group sharing the same or a similar fate while having to interact closely (on a basis of roles), like in the army. (there's a simple way to proof the diffe

certainly not my favorite song, but a song I always admired.(some kind of explanation: the first statement is a matter of personal taste; the second a critical judgement)

the album is CRAP but I think the album fulfilled an important function – it somehow brought the Stones back to blues rock (Satanic Majesties Request made clear (to them as well as to others) that they were on the wrong way trying to ride the pop wave)

I guess it's more likely they the did some promotion photo shooting than some recording (or maybe they went there just for sightseeing)…

huh, going mad about a rumor of a huge open-air show?? That won't be a club show nor a reprise of 1976 just another greatest hits open air show (not to mention the ticket prices)

finally I got my super deluxe box today – and I was surprised in a very positive way. This box is REALLY heavy. Since I saw the small 2CD+DVD box in stores I was worrying whether the super deluxe box was going to be relative small too (In fact the small box is so small that I overlook it at first in the record store!). The box is really worth every penny of the £ 10.90 I paid for it ><

all Stones albums (at least) since Steel Wheels are concept albums – the concept is simply: to earn as much money as possible by creating a reason (or rather a pretext) to go on tour

QuoteIrix QuoteLieB How difficult can it be to find someone who knows the correct credits? They also list Jagger/Richards as composer for 'You Gotta Move' in the 'Sticky Fingers' re-release announcement on RS' website - instead of Fred McDowell/Gary Davis. Maybe it's only a copy&paste typo - but a little bit carefulness would be better .... Quoteshortfatfa

nothing, i.e. it won't work since – as already mentioned above – he is not able to sing and play the guitar at the same time anymore. What he's able to do as a singer/guitarist is good enough for his usual two song set but not for (much) more btw the way: a 2015 or 16 solo tour is unlikely since he'll be touring with the Stones. All I can imagine for Keith solo is a handful of c

I think live albums are dead insofar as they are not real/actual live albums – live recordings just provide the basic track that is reworked and overdubbed in the studio before the music is released as a 'live' recording. Who (any major act) has the guts to release a live (or a big quality audience recording) just as it was recorded/sounded in the venue?

QuoteFather Ted Do the Stones currently have a recording contract? The question is rather: do they need one? And: For what? (since they don't seem to do studio recordings anymore (except maybe for overdubbing so-called "live" recordings))

Although I'm not a native speaker I always thought that "all down the line" is a metaphor for "all life long" (note the difference/relation between "all down the line" and "won't you be my baby for a while" and thinking of all the topics mentioned in the song (women sighing, children crying, men working, whistle blowing (maybe not train, but fact
