While I like the '75/'76 tours I do find it hard to listen to them sometimes on account of Jagger's vocals......I don't care for the slurring and such......and even later tours such as '78 and '81 when he just breathlessly tosses out the words to immortal songs like "Brown Sugar" and "Jack Flash" tends to annoy me. I think in those days, the focu

I also don't think Clapton is a good singer.......but that's just my opinion same as it's your opinion that Keith can't sing. Clapton and Alvin Lee are both fine guitarists in their own right and are better than Keith on a technical level....but Keith doesn't care about being "the fastest guitar in the west"........something I don't understand is why you p

I don't do that but I've seen people do that.......Hendrix was big on that. I suppose its' easy for some people to do but it's never really worked for me. I'm sure it came from blues players who just learned to play the damn thing any way that they could.....and some of them probably had hands so big that it was comfortable for them to do that....

yeah I agree that the setlist is prolly pretty accurate. Some dumbass resequenced the one I have (which is actually an original) to make it closer to the regular '72 tour setlist. They usually do that......the first show or first few shows of a tour will have a different running order and a few different songs than the rest of the tour. I've heard they did "Wild Horses" and

I've made several compilation cd's from the '72 tour.....usually using tracks from the Perth show on 2/24/73 too cause the setlist was similar and the Stones were using the same lineup (Keys, Price, and Hopkins).....and like one of the posters said on here "it's Exile in Australia.." But anywayz.....here's the tracks I used for one of the compilations....I inclu

As far as playing "Gimme Shelter" I do it in standard and I'm pretty sure that's the way it was done on the original. It could be done in open tunings but I know for a fact that Keith plays it in standard when the Stones do it live.

Yeah that really sucks but you know, alot of things that the Stones have planned to do either never happen, or don't happen they way they planned to do it. If you look at old interviews, lots of times they'll talk about tours that they're planning but now we know that they never happened. For instance, I saw an interview with Keith where he talked about touring in '74 and we

Ah...........I love them both but I think Brussels Affair is better.....I just think the Stones were playing better then. The '69 American Tour was the first tour they had played since early 1967 and obviously it was their first with Mick Taylor. By the time they played Brussels, near the end of the '73 European Tour, they had toured every year since '69 (although the '71 En

right.........my copy has them listed with "bitch" second and "rocks off" third and so forth......more like the usual 1972 setlist......Nico Zentgraf's site also lists the setlist as it is on your copy of the show........the reason I ask is because if indeed mine has the wrong running order, I want to change it....

does anybody know if this is the actual set list for this show? The version I have has the songs rearranged to follow the normal 1972 tour setlist and I have read information on different sites stating that both versions have the correct setlist.....

right..........the sax solo isn't audible in this one either.......and the first G to C riff that Keith plays three times in the intro is cut off so in this version it starts on the second one.....I kind of thought that might have been because the radio announcer was running his mouth during the first riff and they cut that part out......but maybe not....who knows

A guy did a B&P for me once with some dvd's. I don't have a burner. He sent one dvd called "1973 Tour Report" but it won't play on my dvd player. I informed him of this and he burned it and sent it again and it still won't work. He says that it worked for him on a dvd player on his mac computer but must not be compatible with my dvd player.........any ideas o
