I am sitting out all the presales. The stadium is very close to my home, under 2 miles. But the ticket prices are way too high. If it was an indoor show, smaller venue, maybe, but not in that setting. For $400 I can see 20 other shows this summer and actually be close enough to see the band without a video screen. For the ticket I would like along the catwalk with a good view, I believe the

If flying in from Europe, it may be much cheaper to fly to Toronto, rent a car and drive the 2 hours to Buffalo. When going to Europe, we always fly out of Toronto because of the lower fares and access to many more airlines. Buffalo is a smaller city. I live just over a mile from the venue. There are a few lousy motels I would not recommend nearby, but they will be over-charging for room

Uber was pretty new to Buffalo in 2015. Much easier now for either Uber or Lift and the drivers have familiarity with getting people to the stadium for (American) football games over the last few seasons, with designated drop-off and pickup points.

Thanks for the amazing advice! I got a lot out of this! Love this site! Have been to NOLA once, spent 5 minutes on Bourbon St then headed to Frnchman's St and to The Maple Leaf. Esp thanks for the bus info. Last thing I want to deal with driving and parking and then driving back to a hotel after what will hopefully be a long day. I have friends that are going to FQF and sing its p

I use Apple Music for everything I listen to, with the exception of bootlegs and more obscure or local releases that aren't available on the service. Gave away my turntable, receiver, speakers and 300 disc CD player, about 300 vinyl records and about as many CDs. Streaming thru two Apple HomePods, saying something like 'Hey Siri, play The Rolling Stones album, Black and Blue' is

Good info. I experienced my first huge VIP section this past summer. Got to the venue early to ensure I would be right at the stage for the general admission event. Got in and found the closest I could get to the stage was over 100 feet away as they had a huge VIP section. Definite disappointment. Thanks for the info!

OK song, but would at best become a B side back in the 60s or 70s and quickly forgotten. But certainly not embarrassing. My shock is that Billy Preston played on it. I thought he had long ago fallen away from the Stones. Also shocked that Keef is not on it. Was it a Mick solo track originally that became a Stones track?

I used to do some print work for Jacob & Company, a boutique maker of high end watches. Their catalog would have pictures of models and various celebrities wearing the product. Baseball and soccer/football players mostly. The musicians, with the exception of Elton John were all rappers. Elton and rappers both are into 'bling' and that is what Jacob & Co is. Not quite Keith&#

I have never been to a multi-day large music festival. Ideally would like to get to one in Europe for the experience, but I am also getting to an age where the bands at most festivals are not booked with people of my age in mind (DJs and rappers vocalizing over a pre-recorded backing track don't count as bands or live music to me). I see the lineup of NOLA Jazzfest has a few days with ma

I have only seen the Stones in stadium-sized venues, whether indoor or outdoor. I would love to catch a smaller venue, but that is not going to happen. The venue matters to me for most every show. I've skipped several because while I loved the band, I did not want to deal with the chronic horrible sound of the venue. Now in my less tolerant older years, I find myself debating whether to

I stumbled across Chuck Prophet's album 'Bobby Fuller Died For Your Sins' a few years ago and was hooked. Live with his band The Mission Express they just rock. A UK tour is coming up I believe.

I think the B stage is the place to showcase the band as they were at the beginning. No fancy sets or props, stacks of amps or light show. Just 5 (or 6) guys playing blues and rock-n-roll. At some of the shows I have been to with a B stage, the clearest sound of the whole show came during their B stage set. Perfect B Stage songs: Round and Round Little Queenie Down The Road Apiece The L

Quotejasona93 Gotta go check the tape for altered lyrics... Lets Spend the Night Together Stuck in this Parking Lot Forever The show was wonderful. I haven't had the opportunity to see Like a Rainbow or Sad Sad Sad in the flesh, so those were a treat. Grabbed a GA spot near the B stage just before the Beaches set, the B stage is a great re-addition to the show, I only wish it was one

Quoteron091 Burl's Creek festivals are notoriously bad to get into and out of. The Boots & Hearts festival last year took 3 hours to get to it from Toronto and we didn't stay until the end of the night so can't comment on how long it would have been to get away. My advice is take the shuttle bus! At least you can party, rest, eat, drink and/or sleep on the way back and leave

Wherever they pick, I hope they can rehearse with the full tour PA. In 2015 they sounded great. Seeing The Who 8 days ago, 2nd date of the tour, granted with an orchestra, but the could was flat and unbalanced for half the show. In 2019, if well-rehearsed, they should have that down.

Quoteswimtothemoon Many bargains remain for the Grand Rapids show. $20 seats plus many seats in the front for $150. Seems tickets are moving slow. Same here in Buffalo. I thought the show was overpriced at the top end, and seeing those tickets going for less than half their original price straight from the box office (not even scalpers) tells me (and hopefully band management) that they were o

The Who, May 9th, Buffalo (Yes, I know it's 'the two' not 'The Who' to many, but when I last saw them for the first time post-Entwistle, 2 years ago, they were very surprisingly, very good, dipping into some parts of the catalog I had never heard them play live).

Have the Stones has an actual real producer since Exile? It sounds like Jimmy Miller was not in control during GHS from bits I've read and the whole feel of that record being so different from the preceding Jimmy Miller records.

The Buffalo show is not selling well at all. $122 or $87 or $46.50 a ticket on Ticketmaster with at least 30-40% of seats available, plus plenty of aftermarket tix. I may head down and grab one for $10-$15 night of the show. Cover band with a good light show playing interesting covers.

The first Stones show I attended! I had an old boot of this on vinyl that was terrible. Then again, the sound that day was not good - not nearly loud enough where I was 50 yards from the stage. Looking forward to hearing this show. Thanks for your work!

Though Toronto is under 2 hours away, I am skipping this show and instead going to go for scalped tix for New Jersey. I LOVE Toronto. But having the show in Burl's Creek is just going to be a huge hassle getting in and out. Glad they added a show for the fans in Toronto who have been lay and supportive. I just don't want to live in traffic for hours.

They can go back to Downsview and play a much better show than they did at Sarsfest. They truly got blown off the stage that day. Molson Park in Barrie? Or possibly Toronto Island. Bitch to get to and from but would fit 45,000+. I saw Arcade Fire there several years ago. Oshawa Civic Center? Is it still there?

The first Stones record I chose not to buy the it came out, and never have since. Although I thought the title song was interesting and unique, the writing, in general, was really weak. Indian Girl may be the worst Stones song ever. Where The Boys Go just a bad attempt at sounding 'punk', then the lame popiness of the girls vocal coming in is just embarrassingly bad. Many of the trac

Nice point comparing to a guitar solo, Doxa. I don't think she destroys the song by any means. The crowds love her interpretation of it. I just love Merry Clayton's original so much, I'd prefer whoever sings it keeps the same dark vibe. Much like Steve Vai could create some crazy solos if guesting on-stage with the Stones, I don't think they need it and would not add
