A Tour needs to be worthwhile financially. The costs are high for the crew, musicians, security, travel etc. Then there is rehearsal etc. cost. Balance that against the ticket prices achievable and size of venues, and the desire of the Band to make £xx million each, and you get to needing 12-15 gigs per Tour. That also equates to 3 months away from home for the Band and most of those involved.

QuoteNate So now the authorities here in the UK introduce a new rule that everyone entering the UK must take a pcr test and self isolate until they receive a negative result which could potentially take days for the results to be returned. It is not possible to board a flight back to the UK without showing proof of a pcr booking for when you arrive back in the UK but personally I wouldn't

I spent 14 days in Canada after leaving the UK, now in Charlotte. With the right test results, vaccine, and paperwork it is straightforward process - if expensive in time and cash.... But worth it, if you can do it, to see the Stones. In 3 hours 45 minutes they are on stage. woo hoo !!! Alwyn

Quotecrawdaddy Out of interest, and total admiration,I know Bjornulf, Hendrik and Matt have all made it to USA, on what must have been a real adventure just to get there. Anyone know if other fans from Europe and Asia have made it, as fans from South America, Australia and New Zealand would have a hard time I guess to get into USA as well as getting back home. I guess moving around from o

Great review Hendrik. Great work Matt & Hendrik to get into this gig - and I know it took plenty of planning, time away from home, networking, and relationships built over a long time. And it wasn't certain until shortly before the gig. Interesting to look at the line-up at the end of the show. Eleven band members on stage: four Brits and seven Americans. As the Stones got much, if no

QuoteDeanGoodman Quotehockenheim95 Yeahh but what is early November? If it's November 1st I could attend Dallas too, If it's November 12th I can't even attend Vegas and Atlanta...the exact date is now very important. Soon come. Details are supposed to be officially announced a day before Boris Johnson visits the White House, per The Times, and all I can see for that visit is &quo

QuoteHendrik Travelling these days is not easy, especially if you're from Europe and want to see the Stones in the US. You need at least 15 days/14 nights days outside Europe before entering the US. Also a transit in the US is not allowed so that limits the number of airlines from Europe. So KLM was not an option for me this time and I figured out that British Airways was flying direct to

QuoteMAF QuoteNate QuoteMAF How does it work with the quarantine rules? How can he join the first show in US? Special rules for working people? You can enter the states flying directly from Europe without quarantine if you have been granted a NIE visa that’s national interest exception. Nate That's national interest. Wow. You don't need a visa of any type if you're a US Citi

The first time was at Ronnie Scotts, London, when his jazz band was playing a short residency. The night before Keith & Co. had been there. 90s or 00s? not sure now. Ronnie's has a small downstairs bar, and at the interval I was at the bar waiting to get served. A tap on my shoulder. "Excuse me, I'm with the band and need to get my drink or the next set will be late". I

There is usually, in recent years, a week or two of rehearsals with no backing singers, or horns. Then they go to a full production stage and everyone joins-in. But thats after not playing for only 9 months or less. This year its a 2 year break. The first show this year is 20th Sept - and the full band rehearsal starts 2 weeks before (approx 6th Sept), so I'm guessing they'll have 2

QuoteLien Ronnie is still in London, Sally posted pictures of the swimming marathon in the Thames yesterday That doesn't mean Ronnie is not in the USA. He will get a work visa, and it looks like 4 weeks of rehearsals. Sally (and kids) may need to go via a third country to avoid the ban on people entering the US from the UK and Schengen area.

Quotebv There is a 10% chance you still get Covid-19 even if you are vaccinated. Some get it mild, others who are vaccinated get serious flu-like illness lasting for 1-2 weeks. The Rolling Stones are not like a football team, where you may replace a band member with covid-19 with another person on the same position. They don't have any extra Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ronnie on the bench. They kn

I'm sure LN will know which other big bands are trying to fix tours, where and what dates - because they are talking to the same venues for their own tours. News from a source at LN should be pretty accurate. I still feel it's a late Sept/early Oct start, December finish, with some Arenas at the end to make the finances work with fewer stadiums. Maybe 16-18 shows: after all they

Unfortunately many people don't care, just as they refused to wear masks and refuse to get vaccinated. These people just do not get it until they get it. The Delta variant is spreading. Look at wh

QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotetimbernardis We don't and can't know anything now as to tour or no tour this fall. They've shown us that they only need two or three months between announcing a tour and when the tour begins. So if they plan to start in September or October and things look good a couple of months out, they may decide to go ahead. But we (and they) may not know til July o
